10 RESEARCH Emphasize research agenda in relation to health issues espoused by the PCP Advocacy Committee Conduct annual preconvention research workshops Disseminated research agenda of PCP guided by the National Unified Research Agenda ( ) of Philippine National Health Research System - Conducted Research Workshops during the Annual Convention and for the PCP Bicol, Southern Luzon and Pamunlas chapters

11 RESEARCH Enhance collaboration with PJIM Committee to increase number of submitted original completed research papers Accepted papers will be for publication in the PJIM (only those with consent) Perform systematic evaluation of researches - Accepted papers for both oral and poster presentations - Accepted research proposals applying for grants

12 CHAPTERS Encourage active involvement of chapters in the programs of the PCP Regional workshops by several committees for updating of projects

13 CHAPTERS Expand the role of local chapters beyond health care and be socially responsive to local needs - More chapters are engaged in advocacies within their localities - Acknowledgement to chapters that went out of their way to help victims of calamities

14 SOCIETIES Coordination with component and affiliate societies A series of meetings were held with the component and affiliate societies on these areas: - Membership matters - Updates on Ethics, Advocacy, Legislation, HMOs and Health Crisis Preparedness and Management Committees - Stem cell issue - Philhealth All Case Rate Payment Scheme

15 SOCIETIES Board Resolution on PSEM-DP Concern Diabetes Philippines will remain as an affiliate society of the PCP. Diabetology will not be recognized as a subspecialty. The PCP will strengthen the training of internists in endocrinology and diabetes.

16 PSBIM Enhance the test construction skills of PSBIM Board Prepare the exam appropriate for a generalist in Internal Medicine Conducted workshops Review previous exams validity and reliability Provide appropriate venue for the examination - UST and Jakarta - Total examinees Passing rate 53.18% - Acquired new Scantron machine

17 PSBIM Collaborate with RTP, RITE and Accreditation committees to improve the training of residents - Item analysis output given to: 1. RTP to rectify training-related issues and help improve the quality of training programs 2. RITE to guide them in making the next in-service exam 3. Accreditation - for guidance

18 PSBIM Concerns and issues to be addressed: PSBIM to prioritize diseases commonly seen by IM residents and use the Manual on the contents of the terminal competencies as guide in the crafting of exam blueprint/questions. PSBIM administered the exam in Jakarta, Indonesia for the 1st time to accommodate 22 Indonesian examinees who wanted to become Diplomates of the PCP.

24 RESIDENCY IN-TRAINING EVALUATION (RITE) Conduct IMAT (Internal Medicine Admissions Test) to provide a uniform assessment standard for entrance into IM training programs - July September examinees from 26 hospitals - Exam aborted due to leakage

26 MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS Create variations in the format of the Health Forum (HF) - Hired a professional Media Coordinator - Invited subspecialty societies and chapters to conduct/host at least 1 HF this year

27 MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS Create variations in the format of the Health Forum (HF) - Conducted as a webcast via PCP Bohol chapter and thru panel discussion and interview - Conducted forum on stem cell therapy, tobacco control, and HERO together with Advocacy Committee

28 MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS Increase media activity - Be pro-active in media - Record statistics of TV & radio interviews and articles released per month - Notable increase in attendees to the HF by 300% - Media participation : TV (7), radio (4), and social media (4) - Health information articles supplied thru media advisories and press releases

29 HMOs, RUVs, PHIC Formulate processes on the service agreement signed by PCP member & AHMOPI PCP-AHMOPI Memorandum of Agreement will expire on 31 December 2015, therefore members, diplomates and fellows can contact the PCP secretariat/ HMO for Universal Service Agreement (USA)

58 EXTERNAL RELATIONS Academy of Medicine of the Phil (AMP) SEC registered as of March 2014 Successfully held its 1 st Governing Council Meeting on February 20 1 st Joint Committee Mtg on April 21 Fellows of Specialty Divisions are invited to join the AMP and will be conferred fellows by the AMP. Those who volunteered to join will be issued certificates
