36 Operating Guidelines Chair and Vice-Chair Selection Process Discussion re: key characteristics of an effective chair (5 to 7) Identify your strengths relative to the characteristics Chair and Vice-Chair Appointment Form ed to LGPAC for interested primary members to complete Completed application forms can be ed back to Metro Vancouver All applications are confidential Chair and Vice-Chair will be selected by Metro Vancouver and announced via prior to the next meeting in the fall 36
37 Operating Guidelines Primary and Alternate Members Primary members Expected to attend all meetings If unable to attend, arrange for their alternate to attend Ensure that alternate is briefed on issues and deliberation All members Asked to review draft meeting summaries and provide comments ed final meeting summaries following meetings 37

41 Operating Guidelines Consensus Decision-Making A decision that participants can accept, without having to agree on all details A goal but not a requirement of the LGPAC process No votes will be held to determine a decision Meeting documentation will identify areas of agreement, discord, and trade-offs With non-consensus, members will work with Metro Vancouver staff to describe what does not meet their needs 41
42 Operating Guidelines Addressing Dissatisfaction Members agree to: Work within the Committee to address issues of dissatisfaction Raise criticisms of the process or emerging results as agenda items for resolution within LGPAC Conflict of Interest Required to declare the nature and extent of any conflict of interest 42
