Genesys Works enables economically disadvantaged high school students to enter and thrive in the economic mainstream by providing them the knowledge and work experience required to succeed as professionals. The innovative program of job and professional skills training and paid corporate internships in their senior year of high school helps to change the trajectory of life for these students, setting them on the path to college, a professional career, and a more prosperous future. In the greater Houston area, Genesys Works serves economically disadvantaged students from 25 urban public high schools by providing them with job proficiency and professional skills training in three areas Information Technology, Engineering, and Business and employing them to work in meaningful paid internships with major corporations during their senior year of high school. Through this program, Genesys Works increases students pursuit of a postsecondary education: 93% of our program graduates in Houston enroll in college each year, and 89% of all program graduates are either in college or have completed their degree. 3
