13 10 tips to live a healthier life Maintain a healthy body weight The right weight for each of us depends on factors like our gender, height, age, and genes. Being overweight increases the risk of a wide range of diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Excess body fat comes from eating more than we need. The extra calories can come from any caloric nutrient protein, fat, carbohydrate, or alcohol, but fat is the most concentrated source of energy. Physical activity helps us spend the energy, and makes us feel good. The message is reasonably simple: if we are gaining weight, we need to eat less and be more active!

14 8 tips for healthy eating These eight practical tips cover the basics of healthy eating, and can help you make healthier choices Get active and be a healthy weight Eating a healthy, balanced diet plays an as type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, heart disease and stroke. Being underweight essential role in maintaining a healthy weight, which is an important part of overall good health. Being overweight or obese can lead to health conditions such could also affect your health. More adults need to lose weight, and need to eat fewer calories to do this. If you re trying to lose weight, aim to eat less and be more active.
