3 Health Care Solutions, LLC Skinny Me! HCG Protocol Overview Congratulations on your purchase of Skinny Up! HCG and your journey to your new health! The Skinny Me! HCG protocol is based on Dr. Simeon s extensive research in the 1950 s and decades of proven results. His book Pounds and Inches: A new approach to obesity can be downloaded from our website: Items you will need: * A digital bathroom scale that measures in tenths of a pound * Food scale (Postage scales work as well) * Grocery list based on the foods you select from the approved foods list for your diet What to expect: - You will lose an average of.5 to 2.0 pounds per day of adipose fats (not muscle, structural or visceral fats!) 3

4 - During the first few days you may have headaches resulting from detoxing (e.g. sugar withdrawals). This will subside and your energy and mental focus will maintain throughout the diet. Caution: Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician prior to using this or any other dietary supplement. Protocol Phases: The Skinny Me! HCG protocol consists of 3 phases. Each phase is critical in order to properly reset your hypothalamus and keep your weight off. The phases are: Phase I: Weight loss phase. During this phase you will take your Skinny Me! HCG drops 3X daily. Average weight loss is 1 lb./day. While following the protocol outlined in this guide you will weigh yourself each morning and take measurements weekly. Phase II: Retrain phase. Once you have reached your weight loss goal or have done phase I for 40 days you will discontinue the Skinny Me! HCG 4

5 drops, increase your calorie intake and continue to monitor your weight. This phase lasts 3 weeks and is critical in maintaining your weight lost in phase I. Phase III: This is your transition to your new weight set point! You will slowly add sugars and fats to your diet and live life healthier and feeling great! Tips for Success /Pitfalls to Avoid: 1. Ensure you are drinking plenty of water to allow the adipose fats to flush out of your system. You should drink at least ½ oz of water for each pound of body weight (i.e. if you weigh 200 lbs, drink 100 oz of water daily). A squirt of lemon and some stevia is acceptable in your water for flavor. 2. Avoid all sugars and fats during phase I and II. Most makeup and lotions contain oils (fats) so look for mineral oil based products or powders. 3. If your weight increases 2lbs or more over your lowest weight during the protocol you must do a steak day to get back on track! (Outlined in this guide and Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches ). 5

6 4. Be sure to tap the bottle on the heel of your hand several times to fully mix the Skinny Me! HCG solution prior to each dose. 5. Avoid strenuous exercise while following the Skinny Me! HCG protocol phases. This can actually negatively affect your weight loss experience! We recommend light workouts, or alternatively using our Skinny Me! HCG Precursor product for our more physically active clients. 6. Don t skimp on the load days. While counter intuitive, consuming these fats will help avoid headaches and hunger pains over the next several days of the diet! Daily dosages: - Drops are to be taken 3 times per day and spread out at least several hours apart. A full squeeze of the dropper should yield.75 ml. (20 drops) for each dose. - Do not eat or drink 20 minutes prior to or 20 minutes after your dosages - Hold the drops under your tongue for 2-3 minutes to allow full absorption. 6

7 Phase I: Very Low Carb Diet (VLCD) The overall goal of this phase is to burn adipose fat and get to our ideal body weight. The duration must be at least 23 days but not to exceed 40 days. Less than 23 and the hypothalamus doesn t have time to reset; >40 days and you risk building a tolerance/immunity to HCG. Days 1 and 2: The Load Days - Take Skinny Me! HCG drops as indicated on the bottle and in the Daily dosages section above - Eat plenty of foods high in fats (guacamole, refried beans, cheese cake, fatty meats, nuts, etc.) - Load days are important in getting the HCG activated in your system and will help avoid headaches and hunger pains the next few days - Start tracking your water consumption to ensure you are getting at least ½ your body weight in ounces (200lbs = 100 oz./day) - Alcohol can be consumed during these 2 days, then no alcohol until Phase III 7

8 Days 3 through 23 to 40 (based on weight loss goal) On the 3rd day, the 500 calorie (VLCD) diet begins and is to be continued until 72 hours after the last dose of Skinny Me! HCG. Begin the Very Low Carb diet outlined below: - Weigh in daily and record your results in a log - Continue to take your Skinny Me! HCG drops 3x per day - During the first week only you may take an additional.25 ml (7 drops) in between your 3 daily doses if you find that you are hungry - Drink plenty of water throughout the day - Important note: Most patients experience a plateau around the 2 nd week of this first phase. This is a normal rest period as your body is detoxing. Should you hit this plateau, continue the protocol as written and let it take its course. Your body will catch up after a few days and normal weight loss will resume. 8

9 Phase I Meal Plan: Breakfast: No breakfast. Coffee or tea with stevia for sweetener is allowed. Option: Skinny Me! Whey protein can be taken with 8oz of skim milk but may reduce your daily weight loss. Lunch and Dinner: (1 protein, 1 fruit, 1 vegetable, and one bread stick or Melba toast) 5 oz (100gr) Protein (weigh before cooking) from our list below. 1-cup cooked or raw vegetables from list 1-cup fruit from approved list. 1 Melba toast or 1 grissini bread stick. Note: You may spread out your lunch and dinner meals evenly throughout the day to balance your blood sugar levels as needed Approved Food Choices Proteins (5oz raw) Chicken breast, lean beef, elk, buffalo, veal, shrimp, lobster, crab, 9 Vegetables (1 cup) Radishes, cucumbers, celery, fennel, Fruit One apple, One orange, ½ grapefruit,

10 white fish (cod, tilapia), ½ cup non-fat cottage cheese, or 1 whole egg & 3 egg whites cabbage, tomatoes, onions, spinach, lettuce, chard, asparagus, or beet greens or handful of strawberries Food Preparation: Do not cook with oils or fats (no cooking sprays) or use dressings while preparing your meals. Use a non-stick pan, George Foreman grill or broiler. Seasonings and Condiments Most spices can be used, but read the label (many contain sugar or other sweeteners). Vinegar and lemon or lime can be used with each meal. Bragg s Liquid Aminos is a tasty and healthy alternative to soy sauce and can be used during the Skinny Up! HCG protocol. Phase II: Retrain Your Hypothalamus The goal of this phase is to retrain your hypothalamus and maintain the weight lost during the first phase. The duration of the retrain phase is 3 weeks. You can now cook with fats and oils and 10

11 have salad dressings on your salads, but still no sugars or starches! During this phase: Stop taking the Skinny Me! HCG drops Continue the Phase I diet for 3 days after taking your last drops (HCG is still active in your system) Eat at least 1,500 calories per day Eat 3 meals per day including breakfast Continue to weigh in and record your weight doing a steak day if necessary as described below Wine is occasionally allowed with a meal (but watch the scale!) Steak Day: If when weighing in each morning your weight goes higher than your last Skinny Me! HCG Phase I day (last day taking drops) by 2lbs or more you must do a steak day that very day. Consume only water, coffee and/or tea throughout the day until dinner time. For dinner eat as big a steak as you want and eat with either an apple or a tomato. The 2 lbs you gained should come off the next morning and you can resume your Phase II meal plan below. 11

12 Phase II Meal Plan: (To begin 3 days after your last Skinny Me! HCG drops!) Eat any proteins and most vegetables and fruits except for those on the list below Fats and oils can now be used in preparing your foods No Sugars or starches Foods to avoid during Phase II: Dried fruits, beets, corn, yams, parsnips, potatoes (all varieties), processed/canned fruits, rutabagas and all starchy beans (edamame is ok) Cautionary foods (try first in moderation to see if they cause weight gain for your body type): All types of Melons, grapes, mangos, bananas, pomegranates, raisins, artichokes, okra, peas, pumpkins, squash, all cheese/dairy (except for cottage cheese), nuts/seeds (coconut and flax are ok). Phase III: Finding your BAD starches The goal of this phase is to identify the foods that your body type doesn t do well with so that you know which ones to limit going from now on. The 12

13 duration of this phase is also 3 weeks. During this phase: Continue to weigh in and record your weight doing a steak day if necessary as described in phase I Continue the meal/diet plan from Phase II but start to slowly introduce sugars and starches noting any effects on the scale in the morning and record those foods that caused the increase in weight (these are your body type s bad starches or sugars). Phase IV: LIVE LIFE! You have not only lost weight but cleaned out decades worth of toxins from your body, retrained your hypothalamus and flushed your adrenal system! You by now have a new level of energy you may not have felt in years. Congratulations!! Frequently Asked Questions: How will my body survive on the low calorie diet? A pound of fat contains about ,500 calories. 13

14 Taking the Skinny Me! HCG drops on the low calorie diet uses the extra calories from the abnormal fat reserves. The used abnormal fat storage is making up for the low calorie intake and is enough calories for daily functions. Is it normal to have headaches during the first week? You may experience light headaches during the first week, this is in part because your body is releasing fat cells very rapidly. This is a major detox. You may take an Aspirin or Tylenol as long as it's not sugar coated. Can I Drink Alcohol on this Diet? Alcohol should be avoided during this diet. It has been found that some HCG users whom have been drinkers or even those that are borderline alcoholic do surprisingly well on the HCG diet and possibly get them out of their drinking routine. These users have even said that they don't even feel the need to drink while on the HCG diet because HCG works with the hypothalamus gland which also controls the emotional eating/ drinking part of the brain Can I wear makeup? 14

15 Lotions, moisturizers or liquid make-ups with oil should not be used. HCG is very sensitive to oils, creams and fats and could slow the weight loss process down; you only want it to target your stored fat. You may use any mineral makeup or pressed powders and oil free foundations. Other types of eye makeup and lipstick are fine. Stay away from lipglosses and Chapstick (may use Carmex) Will it have an effect on my birth control meds? No. Skinny Me! HCG drops will not interfere with any form of birth control. Why am I not having regular bowel movements on this diet? While on the very low carb diet most of your nutrients are coming from your adipose fats so you aren t producing enough waste to have a daily bowel movement. You should not have any pain or discomfort. Dieter s tea can be consumed if you desire but is not necessary. 15

16 Will I gain the weight back after I finish the HCG diet? By following the protocol outlined in this booklet you will have not only lost the weight, but have in effect, reset your hypothalamus. While on other diets we typically quickly gain all the weight back that we worked so hard to lose. Armed with a new knowledge of specific good and bad food types for your body, your new better eating habits and your renewed hypothalamus it will be much harder to gain weight back. Remember, this is the perfect time for you to start a new, healthy lifestyle that will help maintain your new healthy weight! After you have completed the protocol, you will be so happy and motivated to continue with your new healthy lifestyle that the old you will be gone forever! I am stuck in a plateau- what can I do to break it? A plateau is typical during the 2 nd to 3 rd week of phase 1 (VLCD phase) and tends to affect women more than men. This is normal and can 16

17 last a couple of days or even up to a week! If you hit a plateau and feel a need to do something for peace of mind here are a couple of options: 1. Do an Apple Day: For an entire day drink plenty of water and eat as many apples as you want to satisfy your hunger. You may also have coffee and tea. This should break your plateau and resume your daily weight loss. 2. Mini-steak day: This is the same as the steak day described in Phase I, only limit the size of the steak to 5oz (100g) uncooked and eat either a tomato or an apple. You may drink coffee/tea in addition to your required water throughout the day. This should break your plateau. 17
