Upon arrival at SRD, please confirm registrations at the Registration tables at the Lake Placid Conference Center. 7 Dear New KOPS, January, 2019 Congratulations to your for reaching your goal in 2018! We are proud of your accomplishment and know how delighted your chapter must be to have a new KOPS. The information and form below are for those new KOPS who have chosen to graduate at our State Recognition Days this year. All women graduating at SRD will wear white graduation gowns/caps. It will not be necessary to purchase a white dress, as in past years. Hopefully, this will help women graduates by making it less expensive to participate in this recognition ceremony. If you do have a white dress, you can wear it, or any color street-length or longer dress or skirt under the gown no slacks. Men who are graduating will wear a black graduation gown/cap with dress pants, shirt and tie. Absolutely no jeans may be worn. Eligible KOPS will want to be sure to register for all other SRD KOPS events too. Women, who are Chapter Royalty, may wear white or any color tea-length, or longer, dress or palazzo pants in the Chapter Royalty Parade. Men must wear a suit or dress pants, shirt and tie. The cost for you, or your chapter, is $18.00 for the cap and gown. These can be used in your Chapter, in future years, if a member decides to graduate at chapter level. If you have a cap and gown and need only the tassel, the cost is $7.00. Caps, gowns & tassels must be picked up at the KOPS Graduates registration table at SRD. 12 January, 2019 Dear Leaders, Many of you may not know me but I am Harold Culbertson, better known around TOPS circles as Cubbie. I am an Area Captain in the Western New York area and the husband of NY Coordinator, Judy Culbertson. I have been charged to put together a Color Guard for the opening session at 7:00 pm on Friday evening, May 31 st. Therefore, I am asking all chapters, across New York, if you have Veterans that would be interested in being a part of this Color Guard. Veterans can be either male or female. Uniforms are at the discretion of the participant (some have Military uniforms and some may not). We will accept any and all who would like to be a part of this honored group. If Military uniforms are not worn, the appropriate dress will be suits for men and long skirts or dresses for the ladies. We will assemble in the Conference Center at 6:30 pm Friday evening.
