Native people have faced both Deadline to register with assistance from the Career Education Program for the Spring 2017 semester is: December 16th historically and in the present, and If you have not seen a counselor & would like to sign up for Spring, call now! 2 TANF would like to introduce our new Employment Coordinator; Sabrina Renteria. Our new Case Counselor; Marie Saenz and our new Site Project Coordinators; Tawni LaFrombois and Amber Spratt. Here are a few words from Sabrina: I am excited to begin this journey as the new Employment Coordinator for Inyo and Mono Counties. I have done an exceptional amount of growth professionally and personally the past 2.5 years, thanks to the clients I have had the privilege to work with, OVCDC, and the endless opportunities we have to grow as leaders in our communities. My educational background includes a BA degree in Sociology/Criminology with a minor in American Indian Studies, from Fort Lewis College. Presently, I am pursuing my Master s degree in Public Administration through California Baptist University. I have many plans for the Employment Services Program here on the East Side and can not wait to begin the planning process. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and encouraged me along the way. If anyone has any questions/concerns or ideas for the program, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. - Sabrina Here are a few words from Marie: Munahoo, my name is Marie Saenz. I am a decendent of the Cahuilla/Tongva-Gabrieleno Tribes of Southern California. I am so pleased to be here in Bishop as the new Case Counselor at the Bishop Site. I have worked various places and have provided services in this area so I know it well. I look forward to getting to know you and becoming an appreciated community member.
3 Here are a few words from Amber: Manahuu everyone, My name is Amber Spratt and I am a Big Pine Tribal member and I have one son named JT. I am very excited starting here at the Bishop office as a Site Project Coordinator. I am looking forward to the events and activities I will be helping with. I previously worked for the Lone Pine TANF and the Bishop TANF Daycare! This month will mark my two years here at OVCDC. I truly enjoy working with the community and children.
