1 Developing Strategies: Post Diagnosis Interventions for Individuals with FASD Thursday May, 22 nd and Friday May 23 rd, 2014 Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA), University of Alberta-Main Campus, Edmonton th Avenue, Edmonton T6G 1C9 General Information This training will provide information on best practices and current research regarding intervention and support strategies for post FASD diagnosis planning. It will assist clinic team members and others to develop appropriate and meaningful support plans and diagnostic report recommendations. Presenters will provide participants with information about links between research and evidence-based best practices for post clinic interventions, supports and treatment to enhance the lives of those with FASD and their caregivers. Knight, Registered Psychologist, Private Practice, Vancouver, BC Training Objectives Increase understanding of research findings, clinical treatment and strategies in areas of sensory processing; mental health; and intervention practices working from brain to system level approaches; Create opportunity for participants to learn from clinical experts, researchers; Network and interact with interdisciplinary colleagues. Who Should Attend? This training is useful for FASD Assessment & Diagnostic Clinic Team members and others involved in post diagnosis intervention planning, including, but not limited to the following: Team/ Clinic Coordinators Physicians Psychologists Speech-Language Pathologists Social Workers Family Support Workers Educators Mental Health Therapists Community Health Providers/Nurses Occupational Therapists Correctional Officers/Justice Clinic members Intervention Program Providers

Paid parking lot is adjacent to the ECHA building. Fees & Registration $150.00/person: includes catered lunch, tea, and coffee on both days of training.
