1 Scientific Program Organized by International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. (ISPN) Cuban Society for Neurology and Neurosurgery. (SCNN)
2 INVITATION Dear colleagues and friends: It gives me great pleasure in inviting you to the "2do Cuban Course on Pediatric Neurosurgery of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery" to be held in Havana from 12 th - 14 th February We are indeed honored that the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) is going to start the second Course in Havana. ISPN has gathered together a very strong team of international faculties responsible for a three day course that covers a wide range of entities commonly encountered in the field of pediatric neurosurgery. This event will propitiate the participants, an ideal scenario for the fraternal exchange of experiences and knowledge on the most novel technical and treatment plans on our specialty, as well as to narrow the knots of friendship among the Pediatric Neurosurgeons of the world. We are all aware that a child's brain is not a small version of the adult brain but rather it has its own characteristics. In turn, it requires special technique and understanding in getting the best result in the course of treatment. That explains why pediatric neurosurgery has been the first and best-developed subspecialty in all fields of neurosurgery. Our beautiful Havana opens up its doors, with our people hospitality, architecture, wonderful beaches and history waiting for you. "PEDIATRIC NEUROSURGERY 2009" I sincerely hope that you will take hold of this opportunity and come to Havana for a fruitful learning experience! Yours faithfully, Tania Leyva Mastrapa.MD. Organizing Committee Chairwoman leyvamas@infomed.sld.cu
