2 Mark Mower Ian Sansom Saturday 21 st June Mark Mower: 10.00am Mark Mower is a Suffolk writer whose true crime and murder mystery books reflect the seamier side of country life. As a member of the Crime Writers Association he has a fascination for researching and writing about crime history. Andrew Martin: 11.30am Andrew Martin is a journalist and novelist. His critically praised 'Jim Stringer' series began with The Necropolis Railway in The following titles in the series, Murder at Deviation Junction and Death on a Branch Line, were shortlisted for the CWA Ellis Peters Historical Crime Award and, in 2008, Andrew Martin was shortlisted for the CWA Dagger in the Library Award. The Somme Stations won the 2011 CWA Ellis Peters Historical Crime Award.
3 Lunch can be Murder: pm Have lunch, cake & and hot drinks with the authors. Choose from: Goats cheese on focaccia with balsamic dressing and mixed salad; Homemade Quiche Lorraine with new potatoes, fresh herbs and salad leaves; Poached salmon salad with lemon mayonnaise, buttered new potatoes and cucumber and pepper salad; Charcuterie (assorted meats) with new potatoes, coleslaw and dill pickles. All with a roll and butter & a choice of cake for dessert. Price: 10 (must be booked in advance with choice stated) Alison Bruce: 2.00pm After a lifelong love of crime films, fiction and reading up on real life cases, Alison Bruce moved to Cambridge and left her career in IT to concentrate on writing her first novel. This lead to the publication of her first non-fiction book, Cambridgeshire Murders, in With Cambridge Blue in 2008, Bruce turned her hand to fiction, introducing readers to DC Goodhew, and beginning what has now grown into a series that includes The Siren, The Calling, The Silence and now The Backs. In 2013 Alison was shortlisted for the CWA Dagger in the Library Award and is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
4 Cynthia Harrod-Eagles: 3.30pm Cynthia Harrod-Eagles wrote her first novel while at university and in 1972 won the Young Writers' Award. Afterwards she had a variety of jobs in the commercial world, ending up as pensions officer for the BBC, while writing during the evenings and weekends. The birth of the Morland Dynasty series enabled her to become a full-time writer in The series was originally intended to comprise twelve volumes, but it has proved so popular that it has now been extended to thirty-five. She also writes the internationally acclaimed Bill Slider Mysteries. Elementary My Dear Watson: Fun Crime Quiz Night 7.00pm Nothing to tax the little grey cells too much. 5 Sunday 22nd June Elly Griffiths: 10.00am Elly Griffiths was born in London. She read English at King's College, London and worked in publishing for many years. Her crime novels are based in Norfolk and feature Dr Ruth Galloway, forensic archaeologist. They take for their inspiration Elly's husband, who gave up a city job to train as an archaeologist, and her aunt who lives on the Norfolk coast and who filled her niece's head with the myths and legends of that area. She lives near Brighton with her husband and their two children. Ian Sansom: 11.30am Ian Sansom is the author of The Truth About Babies (2002), The Impartial Recorder (2004), and the Mobile Library detective series, including The Mobile Library: The Case of the Missing Books (2007), The Mobile Library: Mr. Dixon Disappears (2007), and The Mobile Library: The Book Stops Here (2008). Ian Sansom writes for The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The London Review of Books, and The Spectator. He is a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4. First in his new detective series, The Norfolk Mystery is the first of 'The County Guides'.

In 2013, her latest novel, The Carrier, won the Crime Thriller of the Year Award at the Specsavers National Book Awards. Two of Sophie s crime novels, The Point of Rescue and The Other Half Lives, have been adapted for television and appeared on ITV1 under the series title Case Sensitive in 2011 and Sophie has also published five collections of poetry. She is currently working on a new challenge for the little grey cells of Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie s famous detective.
7 Linda Davies: 3.30pm Coming August 2014 Linda Davies is half Welsh, half Danish or half Celt, half Viking and loves myths, legends of warriors, and the sea. A graduate in politics, philosophy, and economics from Oxford University, she worked for seven years as an investment banker before escaping to write novels. Davies s first novel, Nest of Vipers, has been published in more than thirty countries and has sold more than two million copies. She is the winner of the Philip Geddes Memorial Prize for journalism. Davies is married with three children. She lives by the sea in Suffolk. In 2005, Linda was kidnapped and held hostage in Iran for two weeks. Lunches are not included in the price & must be booked by 7 th June. Quiz Night is 3 each, Teams of 4 & must be booked separately. There may be limited availability to talks on the day but please ring first. Beccles Books is kindly providing all books for sale & there will be an opportunity for buying books & having them signed after each author talk.
