Neighbourhood Wth ondon is lso one of the dnving fores to forulte n Ontrio Counity Wth Advisory Counil. Prior to 1999 the neighbourhood wth progr ws supported opletely by the City Clerk s deprtent. Through the Clerk s deprtent there were two ontrt progr ngers. With n exeutive volunteer bord their role t tht tie ws operting, nd intining the neighbourhood wth progr. As ontrt workers the progr ngers reeived the se py inreses s City eployees of ol 11. n the fll of 1999 on request of the City Clerk s Deprtent neighbourhood wth begn the proess of inorporting nd bee inorported in Otober 2. The request hd two fold resoning --- tht the progr would be self suffiient both in ngeent nd finnes. Wht hs hnged? Currently the neighbourhood wth progr hs two progr ngers. The Progr ngers re now eployees of Neighbourhood Wth ondon with the resultnt pyents of 1 nd CPP; ll py inreses re t the disretion of the Bord of Diretors. With the now Bord of Diretors the progr nger s role hs ontinued s prior to 1999; however they lso hve tken over the role of dinistrtion. Neighbourhood Wth ondon is now operted siilr to sll business. As result Neighbourhood Wth ondon nd the ondon Blok Prent Progr bee projet of vey Connets. Their ndte ws to look for effiienies nd wys tht the two progrs ould shre. Beuse of the differenes between the progrs nd the lredy len opertions shring ws not n option but vey Connets did oe up with soe reoendtions for both progrs; Neighbourhood Wth ondon hs followed up with ll their reoendtions ss e-iling options, reltionship hs been set up with Fnshwe College for student volunteers, worlting sponsorship with COR edi hs lso been set up. n 22 Neighbourhood Wth ondon took over ownership of the HoeFinder. t is hoped tht this produt will beoe fhdriser for the progr. However, to dte ny extr funds tht hve been rised hve been used to lunh this produt. Tking over the HoeFinder fro the ondon Fire Deprtent Hll of Fle resulted in Neighbourhood Wth ondon hving to purhse inventory, brohures, dvertising et. Although the Hll of Fle hs been very grious in llowing Neighbourhood Wth ondon to purhse inventory on onsignent the orgnizing of the produt hs been slow. The up side to this hs been tht it hs llowed Neighbourhood Wth ondon to forulte prtnerships. Neighbourhood Wth ondon reeived funding fro the Ontrio Trilliu Foundtion to support the produing of brohures; M donted the pris sheeting tht fes the HoeFinder. 3 Mrketing the produt hs been diffiult - with no dvertising onies dvertising the HoeFinder or the neighbourhood wth progr hs been virtully non existent. With soe funds two ds hve been pled in the ondoner. n ddition Neighbourhood Wth ondon reeived grnt oney fro Hun Resoures Developent this pst suer to hire surner student to deliver brohures door to door. To dte 85 brohures were delivered in outhest ondon. norportion does llow us to ove forwrd with new opportunities; it does llow us to fundrise; however, it hs diinished the progr in tht tie hs beoe n issue. A strtegi plnning proess ws initited in the spring of 24 to further find effiienies nd prioritize. Not inluding the HoeFinder, whih ws deeed seprte projet, it ws disovered tht there ws n extr 14 hours yer vilble for new projets.
