1 ADULTS SELF-DEFENCE Combing Karate, Kickboxing, Judo and Ju Jitsu, MMA is a fantastic, fun & aerobic workout focussed on athletic coordination, speed and flexibility. Great for self-confidence and you learn the importance of discipline and a strong work ethic! ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE TRAINING This class is focused around mobility of the body, activation and potentiation. We will be addressing limitations, increasing performance standards and general movement. The individual taking this class will feel a positive change in their performance. BARRE CORE FITNESS A unique class combining ballet and Pilates conditioning exercises. Resulting in improved postural muscles and muscle tone. BODY BALANCE A unique class that gets the best bits from tai chi, Pilates and yoga. This is a great class to improve circulation, posture and breathing. BODY PUMP A fast way to shape up and lose body fat. It is a toning and conditioning class with weights. BOOT CAMP CIRCUIT A circuit class designed by personal trainers. It will consist of both cardiovascular and resistance exercises, be prepared to work hard. BOXERCISE FOR TEENS Combines pad work with bodyweight exercises in a full body workout. Combat and cardio come together in this dynamic class. This variation will be for year olds, looking to try their hand at some boxing style training. CARDIO TENNIS A high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout! CLASSIC PILATES A series of floor exercises with proper alignment and correct breathing to give a leaner and more sculpted body. DANCE FEVER Dance Fever is an aerobic dance class with songs from classic dance musicals, popular culture and film scores. The class is choreographed so that a different routine can be learnt every few weeks. DYNAMIC PILATES A slightly advanced version of the original Pilates fitness class, focusing more on movement and using props at a more dynamic pace. HATHA YOGA Uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. CLASSES Kids Active classes for our youngest members include Football, Gymnastics, Capoeira, Street Dance, Mixed Martial Arts and Ballet. All classes are taken by DBS checked fitness professionals. Kids Active classes with an asterisk (*) are paid courses, and require booking. L.B.T: LEGS, BUMS & TUMS All three body parts are worked in excess in this conditioning class. SPINNING Indoor cycling based on outdoor riding. Low impact, high calorie burn and fun for all levels. SPIN & ABS 45 minutes of indoor cycling followed by 15 minutes of ab work. VINYASA FLOW A contemporary, dynamic style of yoga, Vinyasa involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina, and calm the mind. YOGA (KUNDALINI) This type of yoga offers ancient teachings focusing on breathing, physical movements and postures with mantra to help focus mind. YOGA (IYENGAR) Iyengar Yoga practice both relaxes and energizes the body and mind and brings vitality, flexibility, strength, concentration, self-confidence and mental calm. ZUMBA Easy to learn moves combined with Latin rhythms, such as salsa and merengue, resulting in an action packed workout. TEEN FITNESS* The group session is taken by a fitness instructor to introduce people from ages into exercise using fitness equipment and body weight movements. *These classes take into account the limitations of younger people and each instructor is qualified to train teachers and children. Bookings can be taken no more than 1 week in advance. Members are welcome to bring guests at the cost of but non members may not book into a class in advance. Anyone new to any class or anyone with a medical/physical condition should make this known to the instructor prior to the start of the class. To enable the classes to start on time please arrive at the studio/ pool changed and ready 5 minutes prior to the start of the class. The instructor has the right to refuse entry to late members. For class bookings please call reception on All classes require booking. Please note: Kids Active after school classes take place from 4pm during term time. 3 SWIMMING & SPORTS HALL INFORMATION The swimming pool and sports hall timetable accommodates a variety of sessions enabling pupils and members to make the best use of the facilities. The timetable is published at the beginning/ end of each term. We regret that school use takes priority. Please pop into the Club or log on to to check for any timetable changes. POOL RULES For the safety and comfort of all swimmers, can members please adhere to the instructions from lifeguards and signs all around the pool. Children under 14 years must be supervised by the poolside or in the water. All non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water. SESSIONS These sessions give adult members the opportunity to swim and relax in a child free environment. During this time, children are not permitted on pool side or the viewing gallery. Lane ropes out and happy splashing for children and adults alike. Please remember to bring your membership card and 1 coin for the lockers (refundable). AQUA AEROBICS Enjoy a low impact exercise class in water, to music. Please see overleaf footnote for lane allocation. Bookings can be made one week in advance. 7 January 29 March 2019 When choosing the lanes, choose a suitable lane for your speed and ability and follow the direction signs. If you enter a lane already occupied by a swimmer, please be courteous and make your presence known in a safe manner. Everyone must shower before getting in the water. A full list of pool rules are on pool side. The maximum capacity of the pool at any time is 36 people. If we reach the maximum numbers, we kindly ask the members and guests to wait at reception area until we have some more space free up in the pool area. This is to guarantee the safety of the members using the pool. SWIMMING During Members Swimming sessions, the pool is divided into lanes. 2 lanes for Members Swimming and one lane for Family Lane Swimming. During these hours, children with their parents must swim in the slow lane. It is strictly a swim session and not play time during these hours. MING During Family Lane swimming, child members are allowed to swim, but not play, in the slow lane of the pool and must be accompanied by an adult. ADVANCED SWIM GROUP This is a group swimming lesson for advance swimmers who want to improve technique and speed through various drills in the water. CLASSES Kids Active classes for our youngest members include Football, Gymnastics, Capoeira, Street Dance, Mixed Martial Arts and Ballet. All classes are taken by DBS checked fitness professionals. Kids Active classes with an asterisk (*) are paid courses, and require booking. MEMBER S FOOTBALL The beautiful game, played on our state of the art indoor court. All levels welcome, ages 16+. SENIOR AEROBICS & STRETCH Low impact aerobics with easy to follow movements, designed for improvements in cardiovascular fitness. Followed by a whole body stretch to maintain flexibility.
