Discuss Emercency Procedures with students, Fire Evacuation, How to get to the Clinic, Washing hands because student touch what everyone else is touching, Entering and Exiting the locker room. Let students talk a little about who they are and where their from. Response to emergency situations Day 2. Create a Social Contract with students Day 3. Go over syllabus with students. Students will also practice lining up for a fire drill. Students will also practice a tornado drill. When students are done they will be allowed to play basketball Day 4 Issue locks to students Day 5..Continue issuing locks to students. Students will be put into their assigned spots on the gym floor Students code of conduct is gone over during zero period. Lesson Description: Running the Track 30M Students will be given a slip of paper in which they will be marked of by the teacher. After every lap the teacer will make a mark on the stick. If the student runs all his/her laps and has all the marks than they will recieve an A. Grades will be based upon the number of laps run by the student. Students must do their best. Show students how to perform the sit and reach and have them set a goal for themselves. Lesson Description: Sit & reach Students will go one at a time on the sit and reach board. Students will be given two opportunites and the farthest reach will be used. Boys will remain on the bleachers while the girls are going and girls will stay on bleachers while boys are performing. Students must do their best. Set a goal that you wish to accomplish in one minute. Lesson Description: Sit- Ups, Students will be put into pairs. Girls with girls and guys with guys. Students will go one at a time One partner will count while the other does the exercise. The teacher will spot check the students. After one goes the other will go. This information will be recorded with the flexibility test. After finishing situps, students who did not have enough time to complete the pushup test and sit and reach test from the other day will finish the test. Lesson Close: Ask students if they met their goal doing the sit ups. Have students analyze why or why not they are at the current fitness level they are at. This time will be recorded on the students card. While the one student is performing the other students will be playing basketball or volleyball on the other courts.
