13 For vata symptoms Consistency in all life activities.! Dashamoola tea.! Abhyanga with sesame oil or herbal oil, particularly effective during the vata times of day (2:00 to 6:00 a.m. and p.m.)! Warm food cooked with plenty of oil.! Avoid dry, light, rough and airy foods; fermented foods; refined sugar; caffeine and alcohol.!

14 For pitta symptoms Gentleness in all aspects of life, particularly toward yourself.! Tea: 4 slices fresh ginger root, ¼ tsp. fennel powder, ⅛ tsp. licorice powder, ⅛ tsp. cumin powder. Soak overnight in 4 c. water and boil one minute.! Hibiscus, rose petal or mint tea.! Abhyanga with coconut or herbal oil.! Cooling foods, spices and oils.! Moderate, calming exercise.! Avoid hot, spicy food; excess sour; alcohol; caffeine and refined sugar.!

15 For kapha symptoms Gentle walks in nature.! Ginger tea with honey.! Abhyanga with sunflower oil or medicated herbal oil.! Avoid excess of any sweet and refined sugar of any kind.!

16 Palliative remedies Castor oil pack on the belly for pain.! Aloe vera juice or gel for painful cramps.!

17 How to prevent difficulties Avoid coffee, caffeinated tea, chocolate, fermented foods, alcohol, drugs, refined sugar, resentment, aggressive activities, hostility and refined food of any sort.! Do not give into cravings.! Process your feelings.!

18 General suggestions to make peace with your moontime Practice conscious breathing, sattvic asana, pranayama and meditation to keep the energy channels open and flowing.! Adjust your view of life to reduce stress.! Use nasya oil or ghee daily after neti.! Consciously relax on a daily basis.! Eat and live consciously in peace.! Utthara vasti.!
