Foodnet Meals on Wheels Mac and Cheese Bowl Wendy Franzese wkfranzese@gmail.com Foodnet Meals on Wheels Mac n Cheese Bowl returns for the 3rd annual Mac n Cheese Bowl! The bowl, which benefits elderly and individuals with disabilities who cannot cook or shop for their own meals, will be held Saturday, March 12 from 11:30 am-2:30 pm at Ithaca High School s Cafeteria. The Fresh Snack Program is looking for 2-3 regular volunteers to assist in the washing and preparation of fresh fruit and vegetable snacks at Beverly J. Martin Elementary School. Past volunteers have consistently reported the food prep to be both a fun and relaxing start to their days, so if you are interested, please contact Vanessa or Jeremy. Mondays, 8:00AM 10:00AM Love Knows No Bounds Mike Ellis mike@loveknowsnobounds.org Love Knows No Bounds has recently begun a local service which provides donated home furnishings of good-to-excellent quality to lower-income residents of Tompkins County in transition to safer housing, or returning home after major damage. 5 Southside Community Center Petula McBean Southside Community Center is currently looking for volunteers and work-study students to assist with the afterschool program. Responsibilities will include assisting program coordinators with daily tasks, helping children with homework and reading, making sure children stay engaged in learning, and help provide a safe and fun environment for our children, K-5. Applicants must have experience working with children. AVID targets motivated students who show academic potential but are in need of more resources. Cornell students serve as tutors for these students and visit Ithaca High School weekly to tutor students in various subjects.
