3 Sanofi Egypt In 1962, our first industrial building was founded, and expansions continued over the past 53 years. Today, in addition to supporting the Egyptian market needs, Cairo Regional Site exports to 7 other countries; Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Yemen, Dubai and Malaysia. Responsibility Our Egypt Affiliate has around 900 employees, working altogether to support the patients needs. We in Sanofi believe that our responsibility to the community that we live and work in lies in serving millions of people who trust our solutions. We aim to drive sustainable programs based on a strong CSR strategy, built in partnership with different stakeholders from all sectors of the country, to serve the needs of Egyptian patients. Our Responsibility Ensuring healthcare for all is one of the most pressing challenges facing society today. As a global healthcare leader, we use our expertise and resources to improve access to healthcare for people in need around the world. Sanofi s sustainability approach places the patient at the heart of the business. Our strategy has four key areas: Patient, Ethics, People and Planet. In addition to respecting Human Rights which remain as the foundation of our CSR approach. External Recognition For Our CSR Performance In recognition of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance, we were included on global CSR indices in 2014, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (for the 8 th consecutive year). We were also ranked 8 th by the 2014 Access to Medicine Index. Sanofi has reached the United Nations Global Compact Advanced Level for 2013 report. Sanofi Egypt was granted a certification from The Federation of Egyptian Industries, appreciating our CSR efforts.

4 PATIENT Diabetes: From Awareness To Education In Egypt 15% of Egyptians suffer from diabetes, 50% are undiagnosed. This percentage is expected to increase by 70% to reach 12.4 million people with diabetes in National Diabetes Awareness Campaign Sanofi is conducting for the 5 th consecutive year, Control Diabetes Before It Controls You under the auspices of Ministry Of Health. Patient During the World Diabetes Day of 2013, Sanofi Egypt in partnership with Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students Federation and National Institute of Diabetes succeeded to hit Guinness world record for the most blood glucose screenings taken in 24 hours. Patient Education Programs 1) Children Camps and regular health days for diabetic children and their parents. 2) Educate-me dedicated to type 1 diabetic patients. 3) Star kids Academy facilitates kids education and sports as well as psychiatric sessions. 4) Education sessions for type 2 at PSP centers and hospitals throughout the whole year. 5) MADAR type 2 patients during Ramadan. 6) Safe Type 1 Program Educating School Doctors in partnership with Health Insurance Authorities to deliver a customized program on Type 1 Diabetic patients. 7) KIDs Program is an educational program on diabetes in schools in partnership with the International Diabetes Federation and the International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes. The health program includes information on type 1 and type 2 diabetes. 8) My Diabetes Story is a social network to ask questions, learn and share personal experiences with others in the Middle East children & 4700 adult diabetic patients were educated (2013/2014) 28,600 Egyptians benefited from free blood screenings (2013/2014)

5 Support Programs for Cancer Patients Sanofi Oncology Academy as well as partnering with Cansurvive and the National Cancer Institute in our attempt to help cancer patients to continue their treatment cycles and increase education on the disease, with the goal of enhancing patients quality of life. Offered access to 1550 new patients 80 Almost Oncologists benefiting from oncology academy (2013/2014) n Patie Bone Marrow Hub (BMH) for Hematology Patients Sanofi is proud to be the first & only pharmaceutical to support patients in the country by offering this unique opportunity. 90 physicians from all across Egypt benefited from CME programs in 2014 Evoltra Free Access Program to children Upon request, Sanofi is offering free Evoltra treatment to children in cancer hospitals that are funded through charity. 2 Patients were recruited in 2015 in 2014 & 5 t Sanofi Bone Marrow Hub is improving knowledge, quality, and effectiveness of care provided to hematology patients, achieved effectively through this CME initiative under the leadership of eminent expertise from Egypt.

6 Mental Health & Epilepsy Awareness Approximately 80% of patients with severe mental disorders in developing countries receive no treatment. Biases, poor understanding and insufficient training for healthcare professionals are all factors that pose major obstacles to access to care. The situation is similar for Epilepsy. In partnership with the General Secretariat of mental health, under the Auspices of MOH, Sanofi Egypt is launching a comprehensive awareness program to facilitate access to care by fighting against stigma and increasing local community involvement across Egypt. Moreover, Sanofi s Access to Medicine department, in partnership with local health authorities in Sudan is introducing an awareness program on schizophrenia as a pilot, to be continued on other mental disorders. Organized around the training of health professionals and support for families. Sanofi Egypt raised awareness during the International Purple Day on Epilepsy, which is according to WHO, is the world s most common serious brain disorder. Many activities in different hospitals across the different governorates took place. Stent for life program for cardiac patients In Egypt around 50% of myocardial infarction patients may die during the first hour due to lack of awareness, and around 60% of patients do not know how to deal with it. Under the leadership of Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Society of Cardiology, the Stent for life program was launched to raise awareness among cardiac patients as well as saving the patients in 90 minutes through development of a national network, educating HCPs and ensuring quality of cath centers. 55 meetings, group events & sessions outreaching more than 4600 attendees ( ) 1600 patients reached through awareness campaigns ( ) Patient

7 An Integrated Approach To The Needs Of Rural Disadvantaged Populations 65% of Egyptian population is living in poverty. Affordability is thus an important issue. Therefore, Sanofi aims at increasing access to medicine for more patients. Thus, Sanofi Egypt launched a comprehensive Affordable Quality Care Program, with many arms. Continuous Medical Education to leverage the skills of primary health care units across all governorates through EG Pulse program. In partnership with the Syndicate of Medicine, Sanofi exclusively sponsors the National Educational Program for fresh graduates from the Faculty of Medicine, through EG Hope program. Reaching out to the residents, Sanofi also provides them with educational sessions, through EG Scope program. 1 LE campaign access to quality care, with a tailored portfolio of daily treatments that costs 1 LE. 21,000 pharmacists were reached through 1 LE campaign (2013/2014) 360 CME Meetings through EG Pulse benefiting 11,500 doctors from primary healthcare units (2013/2014) Patient 120 CME meetings through EG Scope benefiting 1800 resident doctors from 11 educational hospitals (2014/2015) 250 CME meetings through EG Hope benefiting 4500 medicine students (2013/2014)

8 Protecting Future Generations Pediatrics is central to the health challenge, where 32.1% of the population is under 15 years of age in Egypt. The country death rate is 4.77 deaths/1000 of population, and infant mortality rate goes up high to reach deaths/1000 live births (2014). Healthy Children, Happy Children responds to children s health needs, providing integrated solutions at every step of children s health, Sanofi s commitment is threefold: Developing a diversified portfolio of drugs adapted to children Strengthening the training of healthcare professionals in pediatric diseases Raising Awareness and educating the public and families regarding children s healthcare Addressing Healthcare at Schools program In partnership with Save the Children NGO, and endorsed by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Solidarity Sanofi Egypt launched in 2014 a comprehensive educational health program at schools starting from Upper Egypt where the neediest population lies, reaching out to children of our community together with their parents and teachers, providing them with education and awareness to ensure their healthy growth teachers and school board members were trained on cascading the knowledge to their class kids during 2014 Pa t i e nt children were reached during 2014 with their parents in 10 schools in Assiut

9 Protecting Against Flu National Influenza Awareness Campaign Influenza is a highly contagious disease that often reaches epidemic proportions. Flu also paves the way for other complications like pneumonia, exacerbation of Diabetes, Cardio Diseases. More than 3 million lives are saved in the world every year due to vaccination. There are many challenges in Egypt due to lack of health awareness and no influenza vaccine insurance coverage. For the third consecutive year, in partnership with Health Authorities (Ministry of Health) and 13 medical societies, National awareness Flu campaign with different media coverage of millions of Egyptians, highlighting the dangers of flu especially on at-risk patients and the importance of vaccination. Taking a stand against flu A New Partnership between Sanofi Pasteur affiliate and Vacsera, the biggest vaccination entity in the country, in an attempt to raise public awareness through different channels like; malls, clubs, universities and schools. This is to reinforce the Flu awareness and ensure expanding our reach to all Egyptians through the on-ground activities. 7 Million people were reached through awareness in 2014 Patient

10 Patient Safety: The Fight Against Counterfeited Medicines According to WHO, around 30% of drugs are counterfeit in many developing countries. Sanofi works to safeguard local medicine supply chains, and also develops simple and affordable innovative technologies to protect Egyptian patients. In partnership with the National Authorities and Ministry of Health, Sanofi is introducing a simple and affordable innovative program Mobile Authentication Service for the first time in Egypt that supports the patient in identifying the authenticity of the drug before purchasing it. Moreover, the company also supports in facilitating investigations intelligence and legal actions hand in hand with the national authorities. Sanofi also provides support for education, training and public awareness on the identification of illegal and fake drugs. Patient

Health And Safety Programs Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental highest measures in Sanofi is one of the most important priorities of the organization. Sanofi culture fosters health & wellness through its HSE week Take Care & BWell Program which addresses different health topics like the right ergonomics, healthy eating styles and many other topics that concerns the well-being of its employees. Sanofi Egypt won the Road Safety Champion award for 2014 for its intensive campaigns, trainings & initiatives. Occupational Health and Safety Certification OHSAS was granted to Cairo site (Industrial, Pharma Operations and supply chain) from LIOYD s; one of the biggest British certification bodies. This certification is to appreciate Sanofi Egypt efforts towards the health, safety and well-being of its employees, sub-contractors and the public.

12 Workforce Development Sanofi Academy The platform that covers the development of all employees in the company through practical experience by developing new talents and preparing our employees to be ready for any future opportunity. Future Access More than 85% of sanofi employees received trainings & development through Sanofi academy during 2014 For the 6 th consecutive year, Future access program is the biggest developmental program for all Sanofi employees and all external pharmacy students in all grades. The foundation of the project is built through sharing real, practical experience and knowledge through on job training. Future access was launched in partnership with pharmacy syndicate and faculties of pharmacy across all governorates, positioning ourselves as an employer of choice. The development aspect of this program is highly appreciated by everyone as it develops the talent inside the fresh graduate pharmacy students in order to be ready for their practical life pharmacy students were trained in 2013/ employees were trained in 2013/2014 People

13 ETHICS Sanofi is committed to acting ethically and responsibly across all aspects of its activities, an approach that guides interactions with our key partners, customers and suppliers. Ethics in R&D We are committed to the highest ethical standards in the promotion of our products and the safeguarding of human rights across our operations and our supply chain. We also take very seriously issues related to the ethics of R&D, such as clinical trials. 42 Clinical studies were conducted serving around 7000 patients (2013/2014) Business Ethics Towards A Compliance Environment Compliance and business integrity is one of the strategic pillars for Sanofi. In this context, Egypt affiliate has been very active in implementing & developing a set of fundamental elements to ensure compliance of employees and external stakeholders and partners. Sanofi Egypt is contributing in shaping the pharmaceutical environment towards a compliance and ethical business, and constantly striving in spreading compliance awareness among our business partners and key stakeholders. The journey has started by a series of compliance training & awarness sessions conducted to internal employees. The journey continues by raising awarness to our partners and main stakeholders, different scientific associations in addition to the biggest conference organizers. More than 7500 people internally & externally received training on Sanofi Code of Ethics and Fighting Bribery and Corruption ( ) Ethics

14 PLANET To safeguard the health of communities everywhere. We continually seek to limit the environmental impact of our activities for the entire life cycle of our products. As a large global business, we are focused on reducing our carbon footprint, using energy responsibility and preserving important natural resources such as water. In addition, we seek to analyze the environmental fate of pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals In The Environment Pharmaceuticals found in the environment due to human activity, such as patients use of medicine, raise concerns about their potential impact on human health and the planet. This is a challenge that Sanofi takes seriously. Energy Saving Since energy is one of the main aspects that we depend on, multiple energy saving programs are implemented by Sanofi Egypt like introducing saving power lamps across the site buildings, introducing solar cells system, introducing new chillers with less energy consumption as well as environment friendly machinery. Moreover, Sanofi Egypt started since 2010 switching from electricity to Natural Gas, resulting in reducing the total electricity consumption from 67% to 50% ( ) despite the increase of activities in our site. 17% saving from the total electricity consumption of Cairo site ( ) Water Management Sanofi Egypt is following high-tech methodologies for water saving and control, ensuring water recycling programs are in place and decreasing consumption. During 2014, Ampoule water recycling program was launched. Moreover, 2 more projects are in progress for new gauges and sprinkler system of irrigation, to help water reduction and limit the environmental impact liters of water savings per day through the Ampoule water recycling program (2014) Planet
