7 Member Gender Workshop, University of Delaware Responsibilities: The Gender Workshop is a faculty/student group that meets either bi-monthly or once a month to discuss important topics related to gender. Workshops include students and faculty presenting preliminary work to gather feedback or the discussion of a recently published article that explores an interesting topic related to gender (e.g. queer theory, intersectionality, uptalk). I have previously presented my preliminary work for feedback. I was in charge of leading a discussion on a recent article published in a top tier journal Member Sexual Assault Prevention and Education (SAPE) Committee, University of Delaware Responsibilities: Attend bi-weekly meetings. Assist in planning and implementation of prevention strategies and awareness events. For Sexual Assault Awareness Month in 2013, I assisted with planning events, as well as worked information booths promoting this month s events Senator Proxy Graduate Student Government (GSG), University of Delaware Responsibilities: I was responsible for all Senator duties if the Senator from my department was unable to fulfill them for a meeting or for the year. Additionally, although not mandatory, I attended all the Graduate Student Government meetings with the Senator from my department. I was elected as Senator for the school year, but left the program prior to fulfilling these duties Member Graduate Student Council, University of Delaware Responsibilities: Attended monthly meetings, incorporated input on graduate student concerns and issues, and assisted officers in their duties. TRAINING EXPERIENCE April 2014 March 2014 Offender Employment Specialist Training Attended Building Bridges: A National Institute of Corrections Training Program. This is a training program to discuss the best practices, strategies, and tools for overcoming challenges and finding offenders employment. Once the training was completed, I was given a certificate for completion and am now an Offender Employment Specialist. Drug Trends Workshop Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement held a workshop to identify current drug trends and how law enforcement and other professionals can understand these trends and the multifaceted issue of drug use and abuse.
