2 Individuals Appointed 2. Old Business a) Canadian Zinc Naha Dehe Dene Band b) ADK Corporate Board of Directors a) Chief Gene Hope was able to connect with Chief Marceillais. Naha Dehe Dene Band are still wanting to do a joint venture with ADKFN but need to have further discussions. There was a signed agreement already made with Naha Dehe Dene Band and Liidjj Kue First Nation. Naha Dehe Dene Band are looking at the scope of the work. All season and winter road. Looking to have Canadian Zinc make one p roject instead of two. Canadian Zinc has not released all the information yet. We are still waiting for an from Naha Dehe Dene Band to discuss the joint venture. b) Chief Gene Hope has been unable to connect with Charlie Hope to speak regarding this matter. Brief discuss over when the elections are scheduled for ADK Holdings. Irene agreed to discuss this item with Charlie since Boyd identified that the last meeting was cancelled due to lack of quor um and having an absentee director puts added pressure on the remaining directors to attend each meeting. 5 Agenda Topic 5b OPERATIONS REPORTS Individuals Responsible 1. Jacqueline Spies (Acting Band Manager/Community Services Manager) 2. Boyd Clark (Advisor/Manager of Operations) Jacqueline Written report provided to Council separate of the meeting. Talked briefly regarding concerns brought forward on the following: Individuals not of age driving quads and racing through the hamlet. RCMP have been contacted to enforce under age usage and wearing proper safety equipment/clothing. Drinking along the river walking tail, Jacqueline has spoken with the RCMP together they agreed that one of the best solutions would be to cut down the shrubs along the walk way to eliminate the hiding spots. Jacqueline has sent an to Hamlet (SAO, Michael Rudkin) asking for clarification from the Hamlet who is responsible for that land around the river? Included in the is the suggestion that the Hamlet cut down the shrubs or do together in a joint effort. At this time no response has been received from the Hamlet. Bicycles on the road, young children. No road safety, no helmets being worn. Jacqueline through Community Justice and the RCMP detachment will be doing a Bicycle rodeo on July 21, 2018 from 1 4 p.m. to educate the children on road safety, check to see the children have the proper s ize helmets on. Lots of prizes are available. Kids registering must be accompanies by an adult. Boyd Clark Talked briefly regarding the following: Boyd finalizing report for Canada for funding for Currently with Hana Boye for review and will be included for discussion at the July Negotiation Meeting discussions in Yellowknife. BC Negotiation Funding application draft is currently with Hana Boye and will be included with the August Negotiation Meeting discussions in Vancouver. Boyd finalizing report to the Province of BC for ADKFN Asserted A ctivities in BC to be included for discussion at the August Negotiations with GBC. Boyd working with staff and Doug McArthur in the selection of the successful respondent for the Strategic P lan
6 Working on the year end financials for audit, then will be forwarded to Nordika followed by KPMG to completed March 31, 2018 year end audit. Important to have completed as soon as possible as funding from Canada is being held until receipt of the audit report. Cash flow is not a current issue while this is occurring. We will need to draft up a usage policy for the new vehicles purchased. Jacqueline and Boyd will prepare and bring forward to council for approval for the next meeting. Boyd reported he has holidays scheduled and will be in Saskatchewan July and July Will takes work during holidays and will be accessible during this time and will be at the negotiation meetings in Yellowknife (travel to and from Saskatoon).
