2 -week study: The benefit of fat binding on weight loss and body shaping A human clinical trial was conducted to test the effectiveness of, the patented complex in bmismart I-REMOVE Fat Binder on weight loss for overweight and obese individuals. Obesity, Mechanism of action study: Fat binding decreased the amount of fat absorbed works by using a combination of insoluble and soluble fibers to bind and eliminate the fat. The insoluble fibers in are responsible for binding the dietary fats in the meal, in the upper part of the stomach through lipophilic interactions (the ability of being dissolved or attached to lipids). This action creates fat-fiber complexes that are too large to be absorbed and are naturally expelled as waste. The soluble fibers in are a non-starch, mucilage type of polysaccharide, which absorb water and swell to form a gel. InQpharm conducted a human clinical study, which measured exactly how much additional fat was excreted in fecal matter, as compared to a placebo. Reduction in Body Fat Content I-BLOCK Carb & Sugar Blocker with InQpharm s proprietary complex is formulated with a unique blend of L-arabinose, a naturally occurring pentose, and grape marc extract. L-Arabinose works by inhibiting the hydrolysis of sugar to glucose and fructose by intestinal sucrase, thus reducing glucose absorption in the intestine. Grape marc extract contains tannins that form complexes with carbohydrate-digesting enzymes, such as alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, and a fat-digesting enzyme, lipase. This reduces the breakdown of complex carbohydrates, disaccharides and fats, which in turn reduces absorption of carbohydrate-derived and fat-derived calories.
