2 INTRODUCTION Robotic techniques have been recently introduced in the head and neck field. And they are becoming day after day increasingly used and proposed with high degree of success. Indeed it is possible to say that surgeons of tomorrow will face with this new opportunity. Currently robotic techniques have been applied in different centers worldwide for oropharyngeal diseases, in particular for tonsillar and tongue base cancers. In this respect. The FDA has approved the use of robotic system in the management of early tumors of tongue base and tonsils. Aim of this course is to offer a throughout dissection experience on the anatomical regions addressed surgically by means of robotic system, especially focusing on the different perspective the robotic system offer. In this respect, in robotic approaches, traditional external landmarks are simply useless and a new viewpoint of the anatomy is mandotory. A movie guided dissection perfectly represent our didactic philosophy based on a logical, step by step, approach. The face to face relationship between the faculty and the participants makes this course an important starting point fot the specialists who want to explore the fascinating field of robotic assisted surgery. Cancellation policy In the unusual circumstance that the meeting is cancelled, two weeks notice will be given and tuition will be refunded in full.
