Case Study Lewisville Independent School District (North Texas) Program Participants were classified as: 19% hypertensive 42% pre-hypertensive 39% normal At the end of Lewisville ISD s Check. Change. Control. 4-month program, 57% of participants who uploaded at least 2 readings showed a drop in their blood pressure. Lewisville ISD had an average of 22 point reduction in systolic blood pressure for those who began as hypertensive. On average, a 10 point reduction in systolic blood pressure would show a 30-50% reduction in risk of death
