7 Provincial Alcohol Strategy Framework Who: Steering Commi;ee: In August 2013, OPHA brought together a group of provincial organizaeons in order to address the need for a provincial alcohol strategy (OPHA, OPHA Alcohol WG, CAMH, PHO, OMA, CMHA Ontario, and AMHO. Technical Working Group : responsible for providing research content and support to the Steering CommiSee (CAMH, PHO, OMA). Purpose: To develop and make the case for a provincial alcohol strategy in Ontario, and suggest a framework for the strategy.
8 Provincial Alcohol Strategy Framework Work to date: 2014 Completed an environmental scan of exiseng strategy and alcohol policy best pracece documents. Strategy documents guiding the process included: the WHO Global Alcohol Strategy (2010), the NaEonal Alcohol Strategy (2007), and the CPHA PosiEon Paper on Alcohol (2011). DraZ framework document was developed. Key stakeholder groups idenefied for consultaeon.
