2 Introduction Welcome to the 23 rd Scandinavian Sarcoma Group Working Committee Meeting in Malmø As usual all working committees have their own program and will discuss comprehensively selected topics. On Tuesday afternoon the Visceral and retroperitoneal sarcoma working group will have their meeting where everybody of course are welcome (as previous years). On Monday morning we start with General assembly with election of a new chairman and 2-3 new board members, depending on where the new chairman comes from, outside or inside the board. SSG has several obstacles to handle in the future, and this will be discussed. Arrangement of meetings by SSG in the future is an issue for discussion. Plenary meeting venue is Bergen in The meeting venues have traditionally been held according to rotation between the Nordic countries. As previous years there will be some lectures on selected topics, and among them the program committee for the 40 y Jubilee meeting in Bergen (The 39 th SSG Plenary meeting, 2019, May 6-8 th ) will inform us about the program and how far they have come in the preparations.
