2 The forthcoming Annual Meting of EURADOS (AM2008) will be again organised within a week (21-25 January 2008) including the statutory GENERAL ASSEMBLY, WORKING GROUP MEETINGS and a SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM. The scientific symposium in 2008 is dedicated to the results achieved within the EC-project CONRAD coordinated by EURADOS. It will cover the topics of computational dosimetry, internal dosimetry and complex mixed radiation fields at workplaces. Two further events are included in the AM2008: The Winter School dedicated to RETROSPECTIVE DOSIMETRY and the Joint Workshop DOSIMETRIC ISSUES IN THE MEDICAL USE OF IONISING RADIATION, organised in cooperation with the French Society of Medical Physic (SFPM) and the European projects CONRAD and MAESTRO. During these two days in particular, it is hoped to meet also experts of the Coordination Action SENTINEL (FP6) which ended in 2007 and of the newly formed group ORAMED (FP7) which is expected to start in January Proceedings of the Scientific Symposium and the Workshop are planned to be published on a special issue of Radiation Protection Dosimetry. The presentations of the winter school are planned to be published in an IRSN report and will be available on the EURADOS website. In this way, the AM2008 will be an additional opportunity to see many colleagues interested by this area in Paris and continue to progress as the key event of the network. The conference dinner is organised on Wednesday 23 January. The information below summarizes the agendas for the whole week (last update: 21/09/2007). WG Chairpersons who like to coordinate a meeting of their group on 22 January in Fontenay-aux-Roses are kindly asked to inform the conference secretariat precisely (planned time, number of attendants, material required) as soon as possible to facilitate the organisation. One day has been reserved for this; if necessary and planned early enough, Monday 21 January afternoon may also be used. If needed, late arrangements can be agreed until 11 January Overall, the AM2008 will be a perfect opportunity for many colleagues, involved in the area of radiation dosimetry, to meet in Paris and to contribute to the progress of the key event of our scientific network. The Conference dinner which will take place on 23 January 2008 evening will leave from Ile aux Cygnes accessible through Bir Hakeim bridge (Boat Capitaine Fracasse, Metro 6). 4 Registration For EURADOS members, participants are kindly asked to register using the registration form enclosed which is also available on the web site ( or It includes registration information needed by the conference secretariat including the personal details required to enter the Fontenayaux-Roses Centre for those concerned with WG meetings. The registration foresees two options: - the participation to the full week (including Scientific Symposium, General Assembly, Winter School, and the Joint Workshop) - or the participation to the Winter-school and the Joint Workshop only. Both include the participation to the conference dinner. It is however kindly asked to all participants to register and complete fully and accurately the registration form before 14 December. Invited speakers Except for CONRAD and MAESTRO partners, the payment of flight ticket, hotel (1 or 2 nights max) and the fee (incl. lunches, conference dinner) for invited speakers will be covered by IRSN. The flight ticket in particular will be arranged according with the preferences of the invited persons (electronic ticket will be sent by ).
