Methods such as volume displacement and volume replacement are techniques applied to avoid asymmetries. In this course, we have identified a few volume displacement and volume replacement techniques that are easy and safe to perform by breast surgeons to achieve these symmetries. Course Learning Outcome: At the end of the course you should be able to: choose the type of oncoplastic technique for relevant breast defect apply oncoplastic technique in breast conserving surgery use these oncoplastic technique to minimize the breast defect created Course Objective: To learn wide local excision using the round block technique To fill the defect cavity using dermal fat grafts To use a volume displacement technique with glandular rotational flap to close the breast defect To use the latissimus dorsi flap as a volume replacement technique
