1 PHONE: (972) Norma Jean Fuelberth August 13, November 4, 2017 Norma Jean Fuelberth, of Frisco, Texas passed away on November 4, She was born on August 13, 1957 in Plainview, Nebraska to Arleath (Stratton) and Norman Blunck. Norma Jean grew up in the town of Osmond, Nebraska and graduated from Osmond High School. Upon graduation she was invited to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. She was part of the first class of women at the celebrated military school. Despite being in the top of her class, she chose to leave the academy after two years to expedite her medical career. Norma Jean had always aspired to be a doctor after a near death experience in her childhood. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska and her medical degree from the University of California Irvine. She began her practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Newport Beach, California. In 1991, she moved her practice to Ennis, Texas, where she practiced medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Fuelberth touched many lives in the Ennis community, where she was a renowned surgeon, mentor and friend. Her dedication to medicine and her commitment to the community consumed much of her time and talent. She is personally responsible for delivering thousands of babies, never worrying about a mother s ability to pay. Within Ennis, she was a humble benefactor who supported numerous organizations and people. Her true legacy, though, is the example she lived for all to see. She was a devout Christian and was always grateful for the life she was given. Her strong character and commitment to her faith was an inspiration to those who knew her. Norma Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caitlin and Christopher Vaughan of Little Elm, Texas; grandson, Benjamin Vaughan; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Meril Friedrich of Osmond, Nebraska; two brothers, Craig Blunck of Fullerton, Nebraska and Jeff Blunck of Fort Collins, Colorado; and ten nephews. She also unconditionally loved all of the members of the Fuelberth family. She cherished her California Family. While attending medical school in California, Norma Jean acquired an adopted family with Wayne and Evey Thomsen, their six children and 17 grandchildren. The Thomsen family have remained an integral part of

2 Norma Jean and Caitlin s lives. Norma Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Arleath Blunck. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ennis, Texas on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a celebration following in the Church Family Life Center. Memorials I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Fuelberth's passing. She delivered my daughter 28 years ago in Newport Beach--such a warm, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor! My daughter is now a physician, and I wanted Dr. F to know that (my daughter has only had female docs)! My condolences to her family. She delivered my daughter 28 years ago (this coming January) One of my most favorite memories, and one of the greatest moments of my life, was having Dr. Fuelberth there. 4 Dr. Feulberth was my dr for many yrs as well as my daughter's and delivered my granddaughter. She saw me through some difficult times with prayer. When I learned her daughter had married I asked her if she liked her son-inlaw and her response was, "he loves the Lord and my daughter, what's not to like"!!
