1 The Christ Child Society Of Tucson Newsletter February, 2015 Dear Members, We are now into the New Year and the month of February brings love and the anticipation of the freshness of Spring. Cleaning out all the old and bringing in the new. This is the month for us to do the same. Our Christ Child Society Chapter has to think about the organization, and where the Chapter is heading in the next year. We will be talking about the Fashion Show, the biggest and most successful Fundraiser we have. Ideas on raffles, tickets and prizes, table centers etc. Anything that will make it even more successful. We will talk about other ideas for raising money and, hopefully, you will all come to the meeting with new ideas. We will be having a discussion about new Board Members for next year, and people to step up and take on or work with Committees, to help us move forward in It pleases and amazes me that we accomplish as much as we do to help the little ones; but I would love to think we could do even more. So I look forward to the luncheon and hearing new ideas from you all. Sincerely, Frances

Sylvia Blount ************** GASLIGHT THEATER By Jean Brabenec So far, only ten people have responded to Gaslight by purchasing tickets. Come on ladies, if we are going to sell out the house, we have to pay the Gaslight by March 22. If we don t sell the house we will lose money. So please, talk to your friends, neighbors, relatives, even strangers and sell tickets!! I will have the tickets for sale at the luncheon so bring your checkbooks and let s get to work to sell out the house!! Presenting HOT ROD LINCOLN!! GASLIGHT THEATRE Our matinee at the Gaslight Theatre production this year is Sunday, APRIL 12. Please remember in your prayers: Carl Jones Nancy s husband Mr. Pachmeyer Sister Ellen s brother was recently diagnosed with cancer of the back tongue. I will NOT be at the February luncheon so please bring your aluminum cans, linens, clothing, etc., and I will deliver them to the Mission. SXMS appreciates your help.

5 PREEMIE PROGRAM By Nancy Jones Thank you, Thank you, Thank you To the ladies from Green Valley (by way of Norma) for the lovely bonnets and blankets for our babies.) Thank you, too, to Judy Bodor who brought many bonnets and booties that she made and brought them to the January meeting Twenty boy s sets and 16 girl s sets plus several pretty red bonnets were delivered to the TMC Preemie Dept. on Sunday all washed and ready for wearing The blankets and beautiful yellow sets (too large for preemies) will be put in the layettes. Thank you from the nurses in the TMC Preemie Department and the babies. BATHE YOUR BABY IN READING PROGRAM By Nancy Jones Another layette assembly workshop will be coming up April 22 and we want to continue to put a book in each layette. Please bring PAPER BACK books to the February meeting. Bookman s will only take paperbacks in very good condition. This program is so important in encouraging new parents to read to their baby so your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support.
