3 Dear Colleague, The DSMZ Plant Virus Department has made great efforts in the past years to further expand the existing range of high quality antisera, comprehensively characterized virus isolates and excellent services. To provide proof for the high quality and reliability of our products we have recently been awarded accreditation as producer of reference materials. This accreditation by the national Germany accreditation body Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS), confirms that the DSMZ Plant Virus Department is competent under the terms of ISO Guide 34:2009 with relevant sections of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 to produce reference materials in the form of inoculum, nucleic acid-extracts and serological diagnostics of plant viruses. We are positioned at the interface between basic research and the agricultural/horticultural industry and we are constantly striving for excellence and to provide our customers with the best products fit for the purpose. We are proud to now present our new Plant Virus Diagnostics Catalogue 2014 and to offer our products and services to the scientific community.
