Only 8 CE Weber s Inn Sonia Leziy, DDS, Dipl Perio, FCDS(BC), FRCD(C) Brahm Miller, DDS, Dipl Pros, FCDS(BC), FRCD(C) Dr. Sonia Leziy and Dr. Brahm Miller received their dental degrees from McGill University. Dr. Leziy s post-graduate degree in periodontics was completed at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and Dr. Miller completed his post-graduate prosthodontics certification at the Medical College of Virginia. They are associate clinical professors and sessional lecturers at the University of British Columbia and members of numerous societies and editorial boards. Dentistry Today recognizes each of them among the top 100 clinicians in CE in North America, they are recipients of the 2014 Saul Schluger Award. Dr. Leziy is also executive VP of Clinical Affairs for the Seattle Study Club. Drs. Leziy and Miller maintain a full-time private practice in the Imperio Group in Vancouver, Canada.

3 This presentation will explore how innovations and concept changes shape our skills and treatment planning solutions, while underscoring the importance of collaborative planning between restoring dentist, technician and surgical team members. Surgical concepts that will be reviewed include virtual planning and guided surgery/provisional treatment, immediate implant placement and restoration strategies, and management of bone deficiencies and the gingival biotype. Prosthetic concepts that will be touched on include post-surgical implant provisionalization, digital scanning, anatomic abutment design and restorative material selection for esthetics and long-term stability, including different scenarios for the hybrid (screw-retained/cemented) crown. The following learning objectives will be explored in this presentation: 1. Soft and hard tissue enhancement procedures used in surgical practice today. Recognize what the surgical team can do, but understand the limitations. 2. Deciding on immediate, early or delayed implant placement and restoration protocols. Recognize the pros and cons of these decisions. The use and fabrication of customized healing abutments and provisionalization: Why they are important steps in guiding tissue form in both anterior and posterior regions. 3. Conventional impressions vs. optical scanning. The pros and cons of both procedures. 4. Review today s restorative material options; understand the strengths and limitations of our product options. 5. Recognize why digital workflows are dramatically improving accuracy and practice efficiency, while reducing errors in the treatment planning phase, surgical protocols and restorative design.

Lewis, Jr., DDS, CFE is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University, his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, and did his post- graduate Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is also a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lewis also earned the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Board of Regents of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is highly sought after and respected lecturer about white-collar crime. He has presented seminars to healthcare professionals, accountants and legal professionals across the United States and Canada. He has published over fifteen articles dealing with white-collar crime in local, state and national publications and authored two books; Employee Embezzlement and Fraud in the Dental Office: Scams, Schemes, and Broken Dreams, and Your Roadmap to Financial Integrity in the Dental Practice: A Teamwork Approach to Fraud Protection and Security. These books are written exclusively to address this growing problem in the healthcare profession. Dr. Lewis is the Chairman and originator of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Committee on Software Development and Computer Technology, which has developed a produced OMSVision, the practice management software endorsed by American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). Due to his voluntary commitment to this project, Dr. Lewis received the first ever Special Citation Award in October 2007 for his many years of expertise devoted to the successful launching of the OMSVision. In his spare time, Dr. Lewis is a high school basketball official, and was selected to officiate The Ohio High School Athletic Association State Tournament Semi-Final game in Columbus, Ohio

Bony anatomy will be reviewed. Different techniques will be described for the restoration and replacement of the missing dentition. The use of dental implants becomes very important in these oral rehabilitations. The materials and various means of reconstructions will be discussed. Differences in the types of restorations used in each dental arch will be highlighted.

Only 2.5 CE- The Hilton Garden Ann Arbor v Friday 8am-1pm 03/15/19 Drs. and Hygienists 5 CE- The Hilton Garden Ann Arbor- Dr. Kitrina Cordell- Oral Pathology Dr. Kitrina Cordell is Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry. Dr. Cordell received her BS in Zoology/Pre-Dentistry from Ohio University followed by her DDS and MS in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the faculty at LSU in 2010, Dr. Cordell was as member of the faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for eight years. At LSU School of Dentistry Dr. Cordell is responsible for educating dental, dental hygiene and advanced education students in clinical and didactic settings; she works in the Faculty Dental Practice diagnosing and treating patients with a wide variety of oral diseases. She actively participates in the LSU Oral Pathology Biopsy Service. Dr. Cordell has published on a variety of topics in the field of oral pathology. She is a member of the ADA, a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

8 "The Top 20 Oral Pathology Lesions This course will provide dental professionals a review of pathologic oral conditions commonly encountered in the dental practice, as well as those less common but clinically significant entities. Numerous clinical images will be provided to give the clinician a thorough review of multiple pathologic processes. The instructor will review appropriate therapy and management suggestions of these lesions. Objectives: At the end of this course participants will be able to: 1. Recognize clinical features of a spectrum of oral lesions including entities from the following categories: a. Infections: Human herpes virus, Candida albicans, oral human papillomavirus b. Ulcers and immune-mediated disease: aphthous ulcers, traumatic ulcers, lichen planus c. Soft tissue nodules: 4 P s that are bumps on the gums, denture-related lesions d. Oral dysplasia and squamous cell carcinoma e. Radiographic lesions: Dentigerous cyst, odontogenic keratocyst, ameloblastoma, idiopathic osteosclerosis and cemento-osseous dysplasia 2. Diagnose and be familiar with how to treat a variety of common and/or significant oral lesions 3. Recognize indications for referral

Dr. Bakeman serves as an examiner for both the Accreditation and the Fellowship examinations administered by the AACD. She served as Chairman of Accreditation for the AACD and Chairman of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is an Adjunct Faculty member of the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. She has served as Section Editor for Compendium and the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and presently serves on several editorial boards. She maintains a full-time private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Bakeman received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). 10 Have you ever wondered why a patient who faithfully wears a night guard still finds their teeth wearing and their restorations chipping? Why do some people have wear on both their anterior and posterior teeth and other people just exhibit wear on their anterior teeth and the posterior teeth remain unchanged? Why some areas of wear flat and other areas involve cupping of the dentin? This course will address these questions and more.
