2 Welcome Letter Dear Colleagues and friends, On behalf of the Lebanese Society of Endocrinology Diabetes and Lipids (LSEDL), I would like to invite you to the scientific activities of the 13 th World Diabetes Day on Saturday November 11, The goal and the purpose of this event are to increase the awareness among people. The theme and topics of this year are: Diabetes and Woman, which emphasizes on the gestational diabetes management (GDM) in 2017 and all complications in diabetic woman related to infections, pregnancy, breastfeeding without forgetting fatal and newborn disorders caused by Diabetes. In view of the progression of Diabetes and its complications we took the initiative to invite many international speakers and eminent experts, under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health and in collaboration with the Lebanese Order of Physicians, the Order of Nurses in Lebanon, The Chronic Care Center and the Lebanese Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. We aim to fight the progression of Diabetes in updating ourselves on this disease in order to prevent and treat its serious complications. Be numerous at this important event.
