1 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AUTZEN STADIUM 1. First Responder is in charge. If an athletic trainer is on site, this person will act as first responder. Assess the situation and provide necessary emergency treatment for the athlete. 2. A second person is responsible for activating EMS by calling 911. Calmly explain the following: Name of person calling and title with the U of O Injured Athlete s Name Type of emergency situation Type of suspected injury Exact location of injured athlete s whereabouts Present condition of athlete. Care being rendered. Location: Adjacent to 2735 Leo Harris Pkwy Turn south onto Leo Harris Pkwy and into lot 6, proceed straight ahead towards West end of Autzen Football Stadium. Enter through the West Gate. Ambulance will not fit down tunnel ramp. Park at top of ramp and bring Gurney down to the field. 3. Once EMS has been notified, the second person should notify the Office of Public Safety at of the emergency and actions taken. 4. Third person should be available to get necessary equipment/splints. This may include an AED: During University of Oregon athletic team official practices and competitions the AED will be on the sideline or cart with the athletic trainer. Otherwise there is an AED in Room 150 on the East side of Autzen up the east ramp from field level. 5. A person must be sent to wait for the officer and ambulance to arrive at Entry 6 and direct ambulance to Autzen Stadium s West Gate. Make sure the gate is open. 6. If possible someone should accompany athlete to the Hospital. Updated 10/2015

Enter through double doors. 3. Once EMS has been notified, the second person should notify the Office of Public Safety at of the emergency and actions taken. 4. Third person should be available to get necessary equipment/splints. This may include an AED: 5. A person must be sent to wait for the officer and ambulance to arrive at the entrance of Entry 6 and direct ambulance to Casanova center from there. 6. Calmly explain the following: Name of person calling and title with the U of O Injured Athlete s Name Type of emergency situation Type of suspected injury Exact location of injured athlete s whereabouts Present condition of athlete. Care being rendered. Location: West of Moshofsky Center 2735 Leo Harris Pkwy. Ambulance will access facility off Leo Harris Parkway, Entry #6. Take immediate left and drive through parking lot to the west side of the Moshofsky Sports Center. Ambulance is NOT able to drive directly onto field via ramp access, but can drive down onto field apron. 3. Once EMS has been notified, the second person should notify the Office of Public Safety at of the emergency and actions taken. 4. Third person should be available to get necessary equipment/splints. This may include an AED, which is located in the training room underneath the HDC (beneath the weight room, this is an open air room see map). 5. A person must be sent to wait for the officer and ambulance to arrive at the practice field ramp entrance west of the Mo Center. *Make sure to have any necessary keys on your person for locked doors, gates, etc. 6. If possible someone should accompany athlete to the Hospital. Updated 10/2015
