1 CYRICULUM VITAE SAROGLAKIΣ GEORGE Permanent Teaching Staff Saroglakis George is a permanent teaching staff of University of Thessaly at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS), University of Thessaly in Greece. He is responsible for teaching all undergraduate courses concerning weight training as well as alternative forms of exercise. He received his Bachelor degree at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the MBA in "Exercise and Health" specialized in Weightlifting. He has been for many years a Greek champion in Weightlifting, international judge and trainer of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) also he was also a national coach for people with disabilities in Paralympic powerlifting with international successes and medals. He was appointed the Greek Weightlifting Federation to develop the sport for the Olympics of 1996 and 2000 as a member of the weightlifting Committee. Furthermore, he is the author of one book concerning weightlifting with publications in refereed academic journals in weightlifting, exercise in general populations and indoor training, with numerous presentations to relative conferences, seminars and workshops.
