Use on a flat, stable, non-slip surface. Remove any obstacles and take all appropriate safety measures. The user should either wear non-slip shoes or be bare-foot. The more closely together the legs of the user, the more difficult the activities. Some activities may be completed on one leg. Stand centrally on the Gymtop. If appropriate to the user, the user may sit on the Gymtop, supposing that the Gymtop is raised as required (used on an appropriate chair etc). Allow the user time to practise movements front to back/left to right/circling. The control centre The main window is the central control centre. The main window is opened by double-clicking on the icon shown to the right:
This window has a quicklaunch bar, patient selection, exercise selection, exercise statistics and the long-term statistics. The quicklaunch bar offers all the important functions: The item Choose enables/disables the patient selection and exercise selection. New exercise shows the window Exercise selection. The Long-run statistic summarises all the data of the selected patient in a printable form. The Single-run statistic summarises the data of the actual exercise Patients offers a complete patient administration. See below. Extras contains two games Exit closes the main window Language offers the different languages To choose another language, click on the icon shown below. Choose the new language and press OK to confirm. The button Exit closes the Exercise section. Training This offers a total of 13 different exercises. Since training is structured methodically, start with 1 and move towards 12. The exercises aim to improve coordination and fitness. Exercise 13 diagnosis mode- this indicates the deflection of the Gymtop directly. Adjust the difficulty as required 1 is the easiest whilst 10 is the most difficult. These difficulty levels influence the acceleration and speed of the ball. Try starting at level 5 and adjust the difficulty as required. The exercise duration specifies how long an exercise lasts. If you want to end the exercise press the key q or Esc. If you set a checkmark with statistics, each exercise will be followed by a short evaluation of the exercise. If the checkmark is not set, the high score list is shown after the exercise ends. The button Start exercise starts the indicated exercise with the respective difficulty and exercise duration.
The section Extras makes 2 games available. EXERCISES Whichever exercise you selected, each has a goal to fulfil. The red arrow indicates where you must direct the ball. To the top left of the screen you will see how the remaining exercise duration. At the top you will also see the name of the selected exercise. At the top right you will see the current score. The exercise finishes when the duration has elapsed or by pressing the Esc or q keys. The music can be switched on/off by pressing the m. Since the exercises are structured methodically, begin with Exercise 1. Exercise 1 Balance. Try to roll the ball into the centre as quickly as possible. Your score increases as it is in the centre and decreases as it moves away from the centre.
Exercise 2 / Exercise 3: Left-Right and/or front-back. Roll the ball to the arrow. As soon as you have reached it, the arrow changes to the other side. You can use the momentum of the ball when the ball rebounds on the wall. This requires a good sense of timing.
Exercise 4 / Exercise 5: round movements. Try not to touch the edges roll slowly and plan ahead. Exercise 5 trains more the left-right balance than Exercise 4. Exercise 6 The snake: Either brake before a turn or make the ball rebound in the correct place
Exercise 7: very accurate movements are required as the track is very narrow. The further you come to the centre, the faster you must change direction. Exercise 8 / Exercise 9: Follow the confined curves, avoiding the edges. The figure of 8 requires leaning forwards and backwards. Exercise 9 requires leaning to the sides. Exercise 10 Basketball: roll the ball as often as possible into the box indicated by the arrow. It s up to you how you get to the box.
Exercise 11 / Exercise 12: these labyrinths are particularly demanding on your co-ordination skills. Exercise 13 / Exercise 14: these differ fundamentally from the other exercises. The circle indicates the current inclination of the SENSAGO. You can hide the display by pressing the b key in exercise 13. The goal of exercise 14 is to follow the arrows as quickly as possible to the corners and back to the centre. If completed three times, results may be easier to evaluate than single attempts. Exercise Evaluation Take care to choose an appropriate exercise and difficulty level according to the needs of your client. The exercise duration indicates the training time (HH:MM:SS). The score is exercise specific it depends on the exercise and the difficulty. The evaluation summarises all relevant information in text form. The graphic shows how long the ball was in a certain place. Blue areas indicate a low time period: red areas indicate a high time period ideally the centre of each path would be red. The diagrams left/right and front/back show the deflection of SENSAGO during the exercise.
Additionally the diagnosis mode displays the movement in a special line diagram. The zone deviation, the middle (avg. v) and maximum (max. v) speed, the standard deviation (std.dev) and the average (avg) are also included. the speeds are displayed in degree per second. Copyright ROMPA Ltd Long Term Statistics This can be sorted by clicking on the exercise number in the field statistic. For example, if you want to see only the results from exercise 14, set the radio button to the 14 the Y axis is scaled according to arrows per second. For exercises 1 to 12, the Y axis is scaled between 1 (very good) to 6 (very bad). In the field between the automatically created summary and the save button, you can add your own notes. Don t forget to press the save button! You can find your notes also on the printout of the single statistic. The Long-run statistic summarises all evaluations of a patient (user) in a diagram.
In addition, it contains the surname, first name and date of birth of the user as well as brief statistics about the number of exercises, date of the first and last exercises as well as the average evaluation. The Single-run statistic contains the surname, first name and date of birth of the user as well as the statistic parameters of the actual selected exercise (date and time, exercise type, evaluation, duration, score, notes). The graphic represents the temporal and spatial distribution of the ball during the exercise. The graphic shows how long the ball was in a certain place. Blue areas indicate a low time period: red areas indicate a high time period ideally the centre of each path would be red. High score list This shows the top ten scores. There is a list for each exercise. The delete the list click on Delete list. Confirm by clicking on OK. Only the list of high scores is deleted, not the actual exercise.
Patients If you click on the Patients button, the following window opens: Copyright ROMPA Ltd You must complete the fields given.
One click on the button Print opens the following window: Under print range you can select whether the data of all patients is printed or just the data of the selected patient is printed.
The button Choose switches in/out of the Patient selection and the pertinent exercises if necessary. This way you can look at the valuation of the exercises on a full screen. You can highlight the patients or the exercises with a click of the mouse. In the evaluation, the appropriate exercise is then marked by a red point. The diagram shows the exercises chronologically (first at top; last at the bottom). As more evaluations are added, trends and patterns can be monitored. Evaluations can be highlighted and deleted by pressing the delete button. SAFETY 1. Always supervise the use of this product. CARE AND MAINTENANCE 1.
