3 XXIV World Congress of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging, Albena Resort, Bulgaria, May 17-20, 2018 As per tradition, the 24th edition of the World Congress of Echocardiography brought together worldclass researchers and clinicians to disseminate their knowledge and experience in cardiology focusing on the theme, Recent advances in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging. More than 100 speakers and 650 participants representing 19 countries and 3 continents gathered to conduct a symphony of outstanding science strivng towards one aim Keeping a Healthy Heart. Well known speakers and experts from USA, UK, France, Belgium, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, South Korea and all over Europe gathered to share their knowledge and experience and present latest advances in the field of cardiovascular imaging. The fantastic success of the Congress was entirely due to the hard work, dedication and superb organizational capabilties of Prof. Krasimira Hristova and her team. Daniela Radulova, the Event manager also contributed to the success of the Congress. Nothing but praise was heard from all the participants and faculty for not only the quality of the scientific program and the workshops but also the warm welcome every one received at the beautiful resort on the Black Sea and the most enjoyable cultural events. Heartiest congratulations to Prof Hristova and her organizing committee! On behalf of the International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Dr. Navin Nanda presented a Special Award to Prof. Krasimira recognizing her for her pioneering work in the development of echocardiography in Bulgaria. On behalf of the Bulgarian Foundation of Cardiovascular Imaging and the Working Group on Cardiovascular Imaging, Dr. Nanda was bestowed a Life Time Achievement Award for phenomenal accomplishments in all the three fields of adult, pediatric and fetal echocardiography. The meeting had a very rich agenda involving all aspects of cardiovascular disease with special emphasis on clinical echocardiography.
