3 Letter from the President of the Canadian Society of Echocardiography It is my pleasure to invite you to the 10 th Annual Canadian Echo Weekend. This is the premier Canadian echocardiography meeting organized by the Canadian Society of Echocardiography. This year we are back in the West! The meeting will be held at the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Downtown Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, steps from the waterfront and Stanley Park, just minutes away from the best entertainment, food and culture the city has to offer. Surrounded by both the natural beauty of British Columbia and the vibrancy of downtown Vancouver, you will find this Vancouver hotel at the center of it all. Please book your accommodations at this hotel as soon as possible as we have a block of rooms set aside for conference participants. The Canadian Echo Weekend is designed to address the needs of physicians and sonographers in clinical practice with a focus on common conditions as well as uncommon but clinically important abnormalities. As always, we present lots of practical cases and tips that you can apply in your practice. Symposia include the latest updates on echocardiographic imaging in heart failure, valvular disease, congenital heart disease, and coronary artery disease including stress echocardiography and contrast echocardiography. In addition to Canadian faculty from across the country, Dr. Thomas Ryan, the current President of the American Society of Echocardiography will present a state of the art lecture on Demonstrating Quality and Value in Echocardiography. We are committed to excellence in the practice of echocardiography in Canada and hope that you can join us in Vancouver this spring to network with colleagues and share enthusiasm for echocardiography.
