1 St. Charles Parish Sheriff s Office Special Services Department Post Office Box 7 Hahnville, Louisiana Voice (985) Fax (985) Greg Champagne Sheriff March 25, 2014 N e w s R e l e a s e 2013 Undercover Operation Over the last three months, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff s Office made 34 arrests in connection with an 11 month undercover operation aimed at targeting street level drug dealers throughout the parish, 6 of which were arrested on new charges. There are a total of 7 individuals with active warrants who have not yet been apprehended. Some cases are still being investigated with more arrests to follow. The undercover investigation by the Special Investigations Division of the sheriff's office began in February 2013 and ended in December The investigation focused on typical street drugs such as heroin, marijuana and cocaine. The drugs sold to the undercover officer during the operation included marijuana, synthetic marijuana, crack cocaine, hydrocodone, and heroin.
