1 The Voice MARCH 2018 CENTRAL OFFICE OF MARION COUNTY (Intergroup 17) NE 19th Avenue, Suite B, Ocala, FL I am responsible...when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that I am responsible. Step THREE Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood him. 3rd Step Prayer - Big Book p. 63 God I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me from the bondage of self, that I may do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of The Power, Thy Love and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! If a man be agnostic or atheist, make it emphatic that he does not have to agree with your conception of God. He can choose any conception he likes, provided it makes sense to him. The main thing is that he be willing to believe in a Power greater than himself and that he live by spiritual principles..big Book p. 93 Tradition THREE The only requirement for A.A. membership is a desire to stop drinking. CHECKLIST: 1. In my mind, do I prejudge some new A.A. members as losers? 2. Is there some kind of alcoholic whom I privately do not want in my A.A. group? 3. Do I set myself up as a judge of whether a newcomer is sincere or phony? 4. Do I have to save face in group discussion, or can I yield in good spirit to the group conscience and work cheerfully along with it? 5. Although I have been sober a few years, am I still willing to serve my turn at A.A. chores? 6. In group discussions, do I sound off about matters on which I have no experience and little knowledge?

As your sponsor has told you, A.A. has a conference every year in late April in New York City, to discuss A.A. business. Each area (more on that next month) sends a delegate. Our annual pre-conference workshop with our Area 30 Delegate, Joyce C is approaching fast! How do you and your group feel about: The God Word and A.A. for the Alky with Health issues pamphlets? Should A.A. use Linkedin? Selling materials on Amazon? Additions to the Big Book? Video PSA Changes production and budget? Review and or censure of the World Service Boards? Spending $400,000 in attorney fees and court fees for the original Big Book transcript and getting nothing in return? This is important stuff!!!! This is how and when ALL AA s have their voices heard! If you don t participate through your GSR, you cannot complain later. This information is being presented freely, and with food! Two agenda items came from our area, Area 30. A.A. was here when you needed it, and is still here, due to the service work of those who were already here. We all have a responsibility to the newcomer to make sure A.A. is here for them! Please participate in the process. See you on Saturday, March 24 in Citrus Springs! In Love & Service, Ken W, DCM, District 17, Panel 67 ( )
