1 September 2015 A Letter from The President Dear Citizen Diplomats, As Global Ties ABQ strives to constantly better serve our international visitors we equally strive to constantly better serve you, our supporters and members. By partnering with Albuquerque Sister Cities and the Santa Fe Council on International Relations, we can now offer our members presentations by nationally and internationally known contemporary speakers with firsthand experience in international relations, as well as opportunities for cultural and educational travel to many lands. If you are not yet a member of Global Ties ABQ, we hope that you will check out the member benefits and volunteer opportunities at the end of this newsletter. Financial support and volunteering is essential to our mission of fostering global understanding, and if you truly believe in the value of citizen diplomacy, especially in these troubled times, any help would be appreciated. Thank you to the members that have already renewed. In this Issue Upcoming Groups Upcoming Events Summer Recap Volunteers and Volunteering Membership Structure and How to Apply or Renew I would also like to invite everyone to our annual meeting on September 26 at the Global Ties ABQ office.
