8 Education How Green Is Your School? DESCRIPTION: Launched in 1999 How Green is Your School? is a programme whereby schools of all levels conduct environmental audits of their institutions. Based on results they achieve awards of varying levels: Palm (lowest), Hibiscus, Orchid, Lotus (Highest). OUTREACH: 180 Schools

9 Community Relations Green Transport Week DESCRIPTION: Campaign to increase awareness of the environmental impact of the transport sector and to encourage commuter behavior that positively addresses this. MECHANISMS: Web Pledges, Posters, Eco-Chase, Green Vehicle Sharing Scheme, Green Transport Guide & Exhibition, Radio Campaign, Mass Cycling Event.

10 Community Relations GREEN LIVING PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION: Launched in June 2005, the Green Living Programme reaches out to home owners to raise awareness of green living habits including recycling and green purchasing habits. In addition to a walk through exhibition of a model green home leaflets and a guide have also been produced.

11 Community Relations CLIMATE CHANGE AWARENESS PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION: Launched in April 2006, the Climate Change Awareness Programme seeks to educate the general public on the threat of climate change and encourage positive action. The campaign comprises an on-going roadshow to schools and the heartland community. A mass media campaign in planned in 2007.

13 The Green Volunteers Network Formed in 1997, with 50 volunteers the volunteer arm of the Singapore Environment Council Currently about 1000 in database
