These services will include: HEARTLine (food bags, supplements, and bus passes) as well as HIV testing and education. A case manager and a trained mental health provider will also be available to address any immediate client needs. Sessions are at 10:30 AM & 6:00 PM Refreshments will be provided. Contact Tim Daniels x248 HEALTHY U SCHEDULE: July 30th August 27th September 24th Manications Manications, which are a combination of manicures and education sessions, are designed to support HIV positive clients and their family members in making healthy and informed choices. - On Tuesdays from 1PM-4PM and Fridays from 9AM-12PM, educators from Nashville will be offering free nail care in the back corner of the CCC waiting room. - For more info, contact Sarah Sheldon x272 Confluence is a monthly dinner and discussion series for gay and bisexual men and their supporters. Essentially, the idea is to initiate conversations within our community that are otherwise unlikely to happen conversations about sexual health, building positive relationships, cultivating self-esteem, and making authentic choices. Confluence is a time to engage in honest dialogue about important things in each of our lives. Necessary skills: good with people, must have aptitude to learn manicure and communications skills. 3 One person can make a difference Let CARE Teams be there for YOU!!! The Volunteer program at Nashville plays an important part in serving our clients. Every day volunteers help clients directly by delivering monthly foods bags or cleaning clients' homes and yards. They may drive them to the doctor, go to the grocery store, or simply provide friendship and support. As many of you know these programs are important to the well-being of our clients, but sometimes we don t have enough volunteers to go around. If you are interested in helping please contact Barbara Bequette x252 or bbequette@nashvillecares.org. Department of Human Services Food Stamps TennCare Families First WIC A DHS representative will be at every other 1:30PM to speak with clients about eligibility and to assist with a new application or recertification. **Please note that recertification appointments will only be held after the 15th of the month** 3rd Quarter DHS Dates July 2nd July 16th July 30th August 13th August 27th September 10th September 24th Call the HEARTLine ( ) BUS PASS REMINDER: No Cash No Pass No Exception To receive a 31-Day Bus Pass, clients MUST pay $5 at the HEARTLine. $5 must be paid in CASH. CARE Teams can assist you with one-time projects as many times as you may need. Remember services are provided as long as there are available volunteers. If you have recently received a letter from TennCare requesting information, please do the following: 1. Respond to TennCare, making sure they have your current address and phone number. 2. Contact your Medical Care Manager, if you need help in this process This is a VERY IMPORTANT process! TennCare may drop your coverage if you don t respond within 30 days of getting your letter. Beginning July 1, 2009, Nashville will enter your personal information into the ClientTrack.net database system. This system operates on an external internet network which has built in protections to ensure the safety, privacy, confidentiality and security of your personal information. If you have any questions regarding this system please feel free to contact your case manager or any coordinator of services.
