6 The African Eye Trust (TAET) MSD co-supported TAET's Positive Heart Programme. TAET was responsible for developing and implementing the programme. MSD provided and allowed TAET to use MSD sponsored resource entitled 'Rights, Expectations and Involvement' which was developed by the National AIDS Trust (NAT). TAET's Positive Heart Programme included 20 workshop sessions which aimed to train advocates so that they were able to hold local community sessions to raise awareness of HIV, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and the importance of adherence. 7 The Hepatitis C Trust MSD co-supported and participated in the HCV Action Group which included members from Roche Products Limited, Janssen-Cilag Limited and The Hepatitis C Trust. The Hepatitis C Trust provided secretariat and co-ordination support for the HCV Action Group. Each of the companies contributed an equal amount and The Hepatitis C Trust contributed the equivalent investment in staff costs and management. The Group's principle aim was to engage on a policy level and raise standards of delivery to reduce HCV mortality. MSD and other pharmaceutical members of the Group have an opportunity to review the final form of the outputs of the HCV Action Group for compliance with the ABPI code of practice. The Hepatitis C Trust has ultimate editorial control over the outputs.
