2 President s Message It is my honor and absolute pleasure as President and Founder of CRIS Adaptive Adventures to present to you the 2014/2015 Corporate Partnership Package. In early 2001, it became abundantly clear that there were virtually no opportunities that eisted for outdoor recreation for people with disabilities. People were unable to access or engage in so many of the activities we take for granted each and every day, activities such as hiking, kayaking, and cycling. Over the years our mission has remained the same while the need for our services has continued to grow. Through my tenure as President, I have seen CRIS grow from a small non-profit organization to now taking 200 people on trips this past year. Currently, we operate a staff of up to 15 out of a small residential house, and we are still growing. We need to grow our facilities, and epand our reach so that everyone, regardless of ability, can eperience the healing qualities of the great ou doors. Please join us in this critical initiative. MS is a disease that narrows one s life ineorably with no mercy. CRIS has provided me with joy and laughter that I had thought had left my life forever.

3 What is CRIS? The Community Recreational Initiatives Society (CRIS) Adaptive Adventures is a Kelowna-based non-profit and charitable organization that uses adaptive equipment to enable people of all abilities to interact with the great outdoors. CRIS Adaptive Adventures key goal is to create life lasting memories and eperiences by breaking down barriers to create an inclusive world that everyone can enjoy, regardless of financial situation or ability. CRIS is a pioneer in adaptive recreation and offers programs tailored to the needs of participants. CRIS is fueled by dedicated volunteers and a small but highly passionate team, each sharing a commitment to the well-being of the community. Programs Community Day Programs Short day and evening ecursions run throughout the Okanagan region. They include programs such as cycling, kayaking, and hiking in the summer, and Sherpa hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing in the winter. Custom Eperiences Custom eperiences are tailored to fulfill specific individuals dreams by allowing individuals to design their own adventure that CRIS will adapt to make possible. Paddling Canada s west coast, climbing Argentina s Andes mountains, tackling Machu Pichu, and summiting Mount Kilamanjaro are just a few of the possible opportunities. Travel and Vacation Opportunities Multi-day trips connecting participants with world-class epeditions. These adaptive epeditions provide accessible travel to some of the most renowned travel destinations in the world, such as Kananaskis, the Gulf Islands, Cathedral Lakes, and the Broken Group Islands. Jeff CRIS programs gave me back my independance and reawakened my sense of adventure.

4 What are YOU doing January 1st? Imagine being a part of all the chills and thrills of the Kelowna Polar Swim 2015 on January 1st at City Park. It s not just an event, it s an eperience that has become a winter-time tradition for thousands of warm-hearted plungers around the world! We are looking for participants, sponsors and spectators to come and join in this winter etravaganza! A variety of cultural performances, live bands and enthralling presenters will keep you entertained on January 1st - and hot chocolate and pastries aren t bad either! So come and show your support for this great organization! We have many different levels and types of sponsorship to accommodate your needs. Whether you want to just dip your toes in or make a big splash, the Kelowna 2015 Polar swim will customize a sponsorship package that meets both your budget and your marketing goals. The Goal The purpose of this event is to raise funds to build a fully accessible CRIS facility on Mission creek. This will cost roughly $400,000 and will allow us to epand the scope of our operations, fulfilling as many dreams as possible. Your generous contribution will have a serious impact on the lives of people living with cognitive and physical disabilities. Wendy As far as I can remember, growing up as a child, it was always very difficult for me to join in fun and games. Overtime, just sitting and watching the other kids play, I longed for my own freedom and independance... Now an adult at age 29, I still want to eperience as much freedom and independance as I can... Just when I thought all hope was lost, I was introduced to CRIS.
