1 DALLAS ASSOCIATION OF HEALTH UNDERWRITERS NEWSLETTER June 2018 June 2018 Presidents Message I m constantly being called a miser, and those who know me well, know I get the most (every Penny) of everything I purchase. It is one of the reasons I became President of this association for the second time. Membership in NAHU keeps members in the Know and I wanted to be in a position to produce positive outcomes and increase information to my clients. HOW, you say? As members we meet in Washington DC and Austin every year, working with legislators to craft practical legislation affecting our clients and business. NAHU sends us weekly legislative and compliance updates important to our business. I use the NAHU website as a business resources tool when I have ANY question on compliance or policy issues. Sign up for the TAHU Café, and get the absolute nitty gritty of current insurance trends and activities. You ll be an intelligent and informed professional getting your money s worth. It was a pleasure serving you this last term and a delight working with the dedicated professionals that are your DAHU Board. Dallas is the premier chapter in Texas. The future of our chapter is in very capable hands, but it s the members that create our strength and our ability to influence legislation, draw interesting key note speakers, and organize the type and size special events like our annual IT & Sales Symposium and annual Golf Tournament, that draw so many to our chapter.
