3 Spandana Foundation Spandana Foundation is a registered 501 c 3 tax-exempted non-profit organization striving to help needy back at home in the areas of education, health care and basic living. Formed as a group on Aug-13, 2005 Registered as a non-profit in Hyderabad on June-15, 2007 Registered as a non-profit in Illinois on Oct-11, 2007 Acquired 501 C 3 tax exemption status on May-11, 2009 Organizing the events in more than 10 cities across USA Largest NRI charity organization with 4000 members Supported thousands of needy people in the areas of education, health care and basic living Raised/disbursed around $800,000 funds so far

10 Spandana Model Spandana was established with an aim of serving society and helping people who are less privileged than us. We understand that it is a mammoth task and we can't do it alone. We invite individuals like you with a similar vision to help us to reach more needy people back at home. Spandana model is to motivate our core members to support needy people back at home (their own school and/or village). Your School Your Village. Our Spandana Foundation Spandana will facilitate the process from planning all the way to execution

11 Education - Individuals Question: I came across a meritorious but poor student. Would Spandana be able to support him? Answer: Yes, please request the candidate to apply for Spandana Merit Scholarship (SMS) in our website. Spandana Merit Scholarships: Spandana supports deserving meritorious but poor students by granting scholarships under Pratibha project. Spandana Merit Scholarship application:

12 Education - Institutions Question: I came across (studied in) a school/college that is looking for some support. Would Spandana be able to support the school/college? Answer: Yes, please write to us at spandana@spandana.org explaining about the school and what kind of support that they are looking for. Support Your Vidyalaya (SYV): Spandana supports schools/colleges by providing basic infrastructure and issuing Spandana Merit Scholarships to toppers under Vidyalaya project. 13 Health Care Question: I would like to organize a health camp or support HIV positive, mentally/physically challenged kids back at home. Would Spandana be able to support the initiative? Answer: Yes, please write to us in detail at spandana@spandana.org explaining the initiative. Health Camp: Spandana supports health camps by providing medicines and other infrastructure under Cheyutha project. Spandana joins kids with medical problems in respective organizations. Spandana follows rigorous guidelines to select the beneficiaries Make a note that your reference will not give any weightage to the candidate/initiative The merits and demerits of needy/initiative will drive the process once you refer Members are not supposed to refer their relatives and there shouldn t be any vested interested other than helping a needy Spandana Board of Directors (decision making team) are not supposed refer any individuals.
