The date is Sunday, 2 September with the cooking starting at 08:00 and the eating starting at 11:00. Setup day is Saturday, 1 September starting at Dave "Gunny" Fromel is the setup boss and there will be PLENTY of Work Hours available. Volunteers please, we are in need of workers! Takedown day is Monday, 3 September beginning at Again, Gunny Fromel is the boss. There will be a sign in sheet for all workers each day. See more info on Pg 2. Protect Our Future The reconstruction of our ranges is a time of promise and peril for us all. Our ranges should be greatly improved, but the chance of a negative incident is much greater during reconstruction. Don t risk our range s future. Be extra safe in everything you do at the range. 2 Picnic Watch the FACEBOOK page and the WEBSITE for the lists of workers needed, days and times. I'm hoping we can get 500 members out for the food and to see your new range. Something tells me the weather may have created a completion date that must be very flexible, but hey, at least we'll have a pretty good idea by then. Stop out for the food and fellowship, see what has been completed and learn of any completion efforts current and underway on that day. Our menu is going to be simpler this year, Hotdogs, Burgers, Brats and Italians, and all the usual items that go with them. And it's all free to members and their family. Please remember there will be no shooting on Picnic Day, and no shooting during set up and take down. If you bring a "service animal" remember that the animal must be accompanied by it's service animal documentation and wearing a vest that identifies it as a service animal. No pets. Also, in accordance with Wisconsin State Statutes, if you carry, you cannot consume any adult beverages. No show and tell of firearms please. If you have questions/comments, call me, "Dave, the picnic guy" at or dave@dhoman.net Tuesday Night Pistol League Starting July 17 th We will start a 6 week pistol League using the Scholastic Pistol course of fire and targets. Club members and guests of the club can come and shoot from 6-8 pm. Each night one stage will be the Shoot for time stage and times recorded.another stage will be set up for practice for the following weeks stage for record. July 17th will be a practice night. July 24 th -August 14 th single stage for record. August 21 make up of missed stages. As time and personal allow you may shoot for record in advance. Must attend 3 of the 6 nights to be ranked in the League and shoot all 4 stages.classes are 22 rimfire or centerfire. Cost is $5 for adults no cost for JR shooters under 18. 3 Family Day Family Day events this summer July 7 th and August 11th. We hope to see a lot of new shooters and their Family come out to this fun day of shooting. There will also be range officers and instructors to help all shooters. This event is open to the public and members. Please tell Friends and coworkers about this fun and safe event. WE will be grilling and have water on had for a long day of shooting. Cost is $10 per family for members and $15 for non members. Event runs from 9-4 pm with set up at 7:30 am. We need workers for the gate, parking, grilling, range officers and instructors. Please contact john Lathrop by Phone at or Fitimages@aol.- com or on the club facebook page. Family Day Shoot Family Day is an event to encourage Families to come out for a day at the range. We provide a range of targets from paper, steel or clays on the berm to shoot. A host of fellow range members to share rifles and equipment during the shoot and work as range officers to provide a safe range at all times Youth 22 rifles and ammo for Jr or new shooters provided. This event is open to all RCLRC members and their invited guests. So tell that coworker that you been trying to get to the range about this event and get him and his family to the range with you. We will also have Brats and Hot dogs, chips and water provided so you can make it a long day of shoot. A $ 10 donation per family towards food and shooting supplies is always welcomed. But no RCLRC members will be turned away from the range and is welcome to join us shooting. Set up is at 8 am event goes 9 am till 4 pm. Next date is August 11th. CMP Rimfire Sporter Matches July 28th we will run a CMP sanctioned 50 yard Rim fire match. 22 RIFLES LIM- ITEDTO 7.5 POUNDS to shoot in competition all others can shoot in an open class. Sign in is 8 am, shooting starts at 9 am. Cost is $10 for Clinic or Match for adults. Event is free to junior shooters under the age of 18.Contact John Lathrop for more information. Call or text or Fitimages@aol.com Construction Update As of July 5, 2018 Edgerton estimates they have relocated 44% of the fly ash. Edgerton estimates they are approximately 8 days behind schedule due to the abnormally high amounts of rain we have received at the club. Superintendant Jack McAndrews thanks all for the great cooperation and coordination of club work parties. With good weather Edgerton hopes to be back on schedule as soon as possible. PAGE 3

5 2018 Safety Walk/Brief Dates Here are the dates and times for the remaining Saturday safety briefs for The briefs start at 9:00 am, Members must arrive by 8:45 am. This allows enough time for members to sign in. Briefs will be held at the Temporary Clubhouse. July 8, July 27, August 8, September 1, October 20, November 3, December 9. There will usually be Safety Walks at the monthly Board Meetings (if there is DAYLIGHT available). Safety Walks are primarily for new Members. Safety Briefs are for Members who have previously participated in a Safety Walk. This information is also posted on the Clubhouse, and on our Web Site, racinecountylinerifleclub.com Attention Associate/Regular Members RCLRC Work Hours/Activities for 2018 Here is the list of scheduled activities to take place at RCLRC in If you want/need hours, or want to volunteer for a listed event please contact the person whose name is listed for that event. There will be 2 Temporary Ranges available for Members during the day and 4 ranges available when L.E. is finished for the day, and on weekends.
