The result s were as follows : (1) Relative daily growt h rate peaked at 4 10 d of age (19 % gain/ d) and t hen decreased gradually ; at d of age maintained in t he range of 13 % 14 % gain/ d. (2) Relative weight (g/ kg body weight) of various organs peaked at dif2 ferent days. i. e. at 4 7 d for t he p rovent riculus and gizzard, at 7 10 d for t he liver and pancreas, 7 d fo r t he small intestine. (5) Activities (unit s/ kg body weight) of t he digestive enzyme measured in t he pancreas and intestinal content s increased wit h age. In t he pancreas maximal values were attained on day 10 for amylase on day, 7 for t ryp sin, on day 21 for chymot ryp sin and on 10 for lipase.
