Using a cross-over of technologies from distinct industrial sectors allows the most current and efficient technical solutions to a variety of global problems. The primary goal of the vpad food production sector is finding platforms for the economical, efficient and safe delivery of protein for human consumption. Through the development, production and processing of soybeans and soy food ingredients, Principals of Protein Africa have implemented agricultural and industrial projects in Cuba, the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, and other nations of Latin America and the Caribbean. What does protein africa offer? World leader in technology and expertise for the processing of whole soybeans into soymilk and soy food ingredients A world-class team of technical, financial and operation professionals specialized in the delivery of international projects Proven track record of implementing and managing Soy Development Projects domestically and internationally High-yield NON-GMO, and soybeans, corn and other crops Vertical integration of five major steps in the soy food production chain to provide consistent quantity and quality soy protein for human consumption A consistent supply of soy food ingredients for the production of soy drinks, soy protein bars and all soy by-products Efficient processing practices to improve food supply processes in social programs and government subsidies Proprietary technology and knowhow for the vertical integration in the soy food production chain

3 Protein for Life is an initiative designed to provide a rapid and cost efficient solution to protein deficiency for world populations. The strategy results from the implementation of a Plant to Plate solution. Plant genetics are selected, developed and optimized for each specific location. Local production in cooperation with existing farmers is implemented and localized processing of the product is completed for distribution to the population. Protein Africa s system utilizes state-of-the-art grain conditioning and ingredient processing techniques as well as innovative food applications and streamlined industrial production. These factors combine to reliably produce soy foods that are both nutritious and palatable, encouraging humans to costeffectively ingest the proteins needed to facilitate growth, development and education. Advancements in soy genetics and protein technologies have resulted in significant improvements in quality and palatability of soy milk. Fullfibre soy beverage produced by Protein Africa contains the same protein and fat content as the cow s milk and is produced at significantly less enviromental and economic costs Soybeans contain all three of the macro-nutrients required for good nutrition: complete protein, carbohydrate and fat, as well as vitamins and minerals, including calcium, folic acid and iron. Soybeans are the only common plant food that contains complete protein. Soybean protein provides all the essential amino acids in the amounts needed for human health. The amino acid profile of soy protein is nearly equivalent in quality to meat, milk and egg protein. Protien Africa has considerable experience working in developing countries. By taking advantage of this on-the-ground expertise and strong relationships with regional contacts throughout Africa, our technical solutions are consistently refined to meet the needs of each region. Protein Africa s protein for life initiative is specifically directed at regions with both a suitable climate for the production of soy and an active interest in boosting their capacity to feed their citizens, develop food industries and replace importations. Protein Africa is a sustainable solution to fighting world hunger by providing food solutions that improve the global standard of living. Customized solutions for protein supplies Protein Africa optimizes the full processing cycle, from grain conditioning to product packaging. Proprietary technologies can efficiently process soybeans into soy slurry, soy beverages and soy protein bars. This technology consists of a set of integrated containers, each responsible for a specific process step. These containers may be added or removed in consideration of the desired product. The unit also handles efficient power generation and water purification, making this technology a portable solution for all kinds of settings. The facility is computer monitored and remotely operated to minimize personnel requirements and maximize quality control. It can be installed at primary production sites or established close to major urban centres for more efficient transportation. This flexibility ensures the technology can meet performance expectations as circumstances change and evolve, making it ideal in even the most volatile setting.

Facilitating development of international projects including project finance, investment management, engineering, design, construction, supply chain development and logistics. Protein Africa s greatest strength is its ability to integrate and adapt technological applications from a variety of different sources, providing innovative solutions tailored to meet specific demands. Implementing change Protein Africa is committed to undertaking and implementing real changes to the manner in which malnutrition is addressed in the Africa. The underlying solution to global undernourishment cannot be resolved through the production of more food. To meet the growing global food demand production and processing must be altered to provide protein through integrated local business units. Introducing change to the most protein deprived global regions requires the development of a sustainable agricultural production sector. This includes Protein Africa has the capacity to design and implement every detail of a business plan, from blueprints to full cycle facilities to ensure its successful implementation. This confidence with every level of the planning and implementation processes allows Protein Africa to customize its business practices to achieve the Projects objectives and meet situational demands regardless of their scope. training of the farm workforce as well as introducing innovative mechanical processes and next generation plant genetics to the primary producer. The most immediate and dramatic impact can be realized by revolutionizing processing technologies to transform raw vegetable protein directly to consumable food stuffs. This allows the regions poor and hungry to access protein at efficient prices, without compromising good flavour, high quality or more importantly, a consistent supply. SOY NUTRITIONAL VALUE Soybeans contain complete protein, carbohydrate and fat, all three of the macro-nutrients required for good nutrition. Soybeans are the only common plant food that contains complete protein. They also contain essential vitamins and minerals, including calcium, folic acid and iron. Soybean protein provides all the essential amino acids in the amounts necessary to ensure human health. The amino acid profile of soy protein is nearly equivalent in quality to meat, milk and egg protein. SOY BEVERAGES Soy beverage was initially marketed as an alternative to cow and buffalo milk for those with dietary restrictions because of milk allergies or lactose intolerance. Anticipating the needs of the 75 percent of the world s population who display some symptoms of lactose intolerance, the food processing industry quickly implemented the large-scale production of soy milk. Today, even those who do not suffer from lactose intolerance are drawn to soy milk by its high nutritional value and it is experiencing a growing popularity as a source of dietary protein across the globe. SOY PROTEIN BAR Soy based biscuits and cookies are an excellent choice of healthy snacks. They are enriched with vitamins and mineral and flavored with seasonal fruits. Protein Africa s technology includes an addition for its elaboration and it s also the perfect solution for government social and subsidy programs of school breakfast. Formula tions can be customized according to a certain region s demands and capabilities.

5 AGRI-Technology and Innovation at Work Mobile and independent of local infrastructure Technology and innovation provide a mobile solution for the localized production of protein rich foods. The system was designed and built with the following objectives: - To provide high-quality low-cost protein in the form of soy based fluid beverages, yogurt, puddings, and biscuits. - To implement and install a series of containerized liquid processing facilities for rapid deployment and installation in areas where protein supplies are scarce - To implement processing facilities which are self-sustaining and able to generate electricity (160 kw), purify water (2,500 l/hr), and manufacture, pasteurize and package soy based beveages in single servings (maximum capacity: 80,000 servings per day) The general specifications of the Container Processing Systems (CPS) are as follows: Capacity to pasteurize, chill to 4 degrees Celsius, and package up to 20,000 litres per day. Purify up to 2,500 litres per hour of water using reverse osmosis. Completely self-sustained energy system with 160 kw generation capacity, using diesel fuel as the energy source. Accurately measure soy and protein contents and to normalize concentrations as required during a continuous flow process. Manufacture from raw whole soybeans up to 20,000 litres per day. All machinery and instrumental is rack-mounted in 20 foot sea containers. All racks are easily removable for construction, maintenance and upgrades. Remote monitoring and system control. All manufactured to USDA standards.

6 Primary production history The management team has worked extensively in the agricultural sector as advisors, operators, and administrators. They have long traditions in primary production, value added agricultural operations.
