3 McConnell Institute provides training for physical therapists to improve the management of chronic musculoskeletal problems. The concepts developed by Australian physiotherapist Jenny McConnell are based on an understanding of the influence of posture on dynamic activities as a causative factor for musculoskeletal symptoms and the beneficial effects of unloading soft tissue, usually with tape, to immediately decrease pain and optimize treatment effects. After attending these workshops clinicians will be able to easily implement the techniques and strategies learnt to have an immediate beneficial effect on their patients. McConnell Institute s mission To develop and deliver quality courses using the McConnell Approach for the management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. All McConnell courses are designed to provide the clinician with an opportunity to learn and practice examination and rehabilitation skills in a hands on environment. 6 About Dr. Deepak Kumar Dr. Deepak Kumar. MSPT, FIAP, MCTA, COMT, PhD Dr. Deepak Kumar graduated from National Institute & completed his Master in Sports Physiotherapy and Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Manual Therapy. He has also been to Curtin University, Australia, to get his Super Specializations in Manipulative Physiotherapy. He was awarded with distinguish service award by Indian Association of Physiotherapists in 2006 and the prestigious fellowship award from Indian Association of Physiotherapists in He is a clinical teacher & examiner to various Universities in India. He is also a certified Mulligan s Concept Teacher. Trained more than 8000 physios (in last 10 years) from various reputed institutes from India & abroad. Made 12 inventions in manual therapy, electrotherapy, & exercise therapy. Guided 53 research projects & still growing. Presented 34 papers in various state/ national & international conferences like IFOMT and WCPT etc., bagged 9 best papers & six 1st runner up awards. Published 4 papers in reputed journals. The new techniques are published in Mulligan s 5 th & 6 th edn book. Dr. Deepak Kumar has an excellent background in teaching, research, & clinical management skills to run courses like these. MPT, COMT, CMP, MIAP She is a postgraduate physiotherapist in Musculoskeletal and also a certified Mulligan Concept practitioner. She is heading (HOD) a very busy & reputed physiotherapy clinic in New Delhi, treating 70 patients a day along with 15 professionals & supporting staff. She has been teaching Manual Therapy & Taping techniques in India & nearby countries for Capri Institute of Manual Therapy since last 4 years. She has chaired the scientific session on Manual Therapy during International manual Therapy conference (INTERCOMAT) in 2013.

Eligibility: - The applicant should be a Physiotherapist with minimum qualification like : Intern / DPT / BPT. There is no pre-requisite in terms of manual therapy / taping experience. The program offers a high level of information and clinical expertise, provided to all participants in a stimulating learning environment regardless of previous clinical experience and knowledge.
