Impingement by harness straps into the groin and axilla can make it difficult for patients to focus on their form and challenging for therapists to encourage intensity during functional tasks. The need for a second set of hands or additional time to properly place harnesses can result in the loss of valuable therapy treatment minutes. Designed in collaboration with PTs and OTs, the SafeGait EMBRACE Rehabilitation Harness, is an innovative solution that addresses traditional harness pain points and enables patients to comfortably and safely practice gait, balance and falls management exercises. A Modern Solution for Common Concerns In contrast to ordinary harnesses, the SafeGait EMBRACE offers an intuitive application, comfortable materials and a unique design intended to prevent uplifting forces from causing the device to ride up into sensitive patient areas.

4 SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS The SafeGait EMBRACE torso features a padded posterior column manufactured with breathable material to provide patients with comfortable, postural support. Each torso is designed to fit a broad range of body dimensions so that a single SafeGait EMBRACE can accommodate the span of two traditional harness sizes. Color coding makes sizing identification easy and private in a busy therapy setting. Donning shoulder straps enable a single therapist to position and secure the SafeGait EMBRACE to the patient. Exclusive Waistband Design SafeGait EMBRACE is designed with a unique interior structure in the waistband that comfortably counters uplifting forces from body-weight support systems to maintain harness position on the patient. The EMBRACE spreader bar straps attach to the padded waistband while other devices typically attach at the chest or shoulder which can lead to security bands riding up into the axilla causing discomfort. A unique gripping material is incorporated into the waistband to maintain position against the patient s clothing. Chest Band The padded chest band is designed to provide a comfortable, secure fit on the patient. Unlike many ordinary harnesses, the SafeGait EMBRACE chest band is free from connection points attached

5 to an overhead body-weight support system which can lead to components riding up and causing discomfort. Both waist and chest bands feature central Velcro attachment bands and secondary hug belts for a comfortable, secure embrace. Interchangeable Leg Cuffs with Alignment Straps Modular design allows for interchangeability between leg cuffs and torso units to accommodate patients with varying body types. Leg Cuffs are removable with quick-release buckles providing flexibility and more fitting combinations. The color-coded Leg Cuff Alignment Strap allows therapists to easily match to torso units and quickly align cuffs correctly on the patient. Includes secondary hug straps to provide for a snug, secure yet unrestricted embrace. SafeGait EMBRACE Harness Compatibility For use with the SafeGait 360 Balance or Mobility Trainer, the SafeGait ACTIVE Dynamic Mobility Trainer and other body-weight support and fall protection devices.
