35 The course was designed to be an overview of the histologic features of common cutaneous inflammatory dermatoses and neoplasms with emphasis on the criteria for diagnosis and differentiating points among conditions with similar histologic features. Clinicopathologic correlation was emphasized. Interactive format was used for discussion of the conditions to be reviewed. This was followed by slide viewing sessions by the attendees under the supervision of the facilitating dermatopathologists. Its core members served as reactors to clinicopathological cases in several PDS CMEs Partnered with UERM CME last July 2013 Dermatologic Surgery Subspecialty Core Group Handled the Pre-Convention Congress last Nov. 6, 2013, with the theme: Cosmetic Dermatology: A Science Immunodermatology Subspecialty Core Group Its core members were invited as lecturers/reactors in the series of PDS-CME activities Co-hosted ECHO of SCF Photodermatology in the Tropics Postgraduate Course and Workshop, PDS Monthly CME last November 5, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ortigas Center, Manila. Laser Surgery Subspecialty Core Group Participated as lecturers in the series of CME activities Leprosy Subspecialty Core Group In close coordination with The National Leprosy Control Program (NLCP) Pediatric Dermatology Subspecialty Core Group Conducted a lay forum on May 5, 2013 with the theme: Kutis Bata Alagang Derma - public information campaign on proper skin care for children Photodermatology Subspecialty Core Group Co-hosted with EAMC the CME activity last March 20, 2013 with the theme: Stepping into the Right Perspectives on Phototherapy Aimed to educate and update the audience on the basics of phototherapy and its practical applications Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Subspecialty Core Group Continued programs on awareness/knowledge of STI/HIV 10 th Postgraduate Course of the Philippine Society of Venereologists Inc (PSVI) September 20-21, of its core members acted as part of the organizing committee and convention speakers Co-hosted on the RITM CME activity last September 25, 2013 with the theme: Code Red: When the Virus Strikes (HIV in Dermatology) Skin Contact Medium for dissemination of activities of the PDS to all its members and information exchange among members nationwide Four (4) publications were released for this year Contained the President s Message, CME meetings, Postgraduate meetings, Conventions, Announcements, Local and International Calendar of Activities, Workshops, Missions, Outreach programs, Editor s corner and other pertinent PDS activities 35
